    Default We Want You!!

    WE WANT YOU!!

Welcome to the newest section of the forum!

This is where we join forces and become the Bub Hub army - unless you can think of a better name.

Individually we can make a difference but imagine the difference we can make it we all band together!

Did anyone see this story on Channel 9's special Queensland edition of TODAY?

Brissie resident, SES volunteer and Bub Hub member Sonia Cuff came up with the idea to create mud army t-shirts to raise money for the flood victims.

Sonia is just one of the many talented, creative and clever people on Bub Hub and there are so many ways we can combine our collective knowledge to make a difference in the world.

It doesn't have to be a big difference it just has to be a change for the better.

It could be as little as helping to improve facilities for parents in shopping centres.

Or it could be as big as helping families affected by natural disasters or helping people identify the signs of post-natal depression.

It is your community so you can set the agenda ...

This is such a great idea. I won't name names (coz it's not allowed) but another forum in a land far away that i used to frequent is so influential it has political commentators claiming that it can shape the dialogue of election campaigns. Awesomeness!

    Hi

Time to mobilise the Bub Hub Army ...

BH member Mumma Ky has shared an issue with us (which I moved to its own thread here - http://www.bubhub.com.au/community/f...d.php?t=388302.

Also, while this is a very serious and important issue it doesn't mean that all our issues have to be. If you want us to compile some practical advice on stain removal then we can do that too!! All problems, no matter how big or small!

    hi everyone!

Well, we've had a few good ideas so far.

    1. How can we improve education options for children with autism?

    2. How can we improve baby changing and feeding facilities in rural towns?

If you've got any more ideas/causes for the Bub Hub army to get behind feel free to start your own thread!

    Thanks!

    Default GetUp.org

Hello Lovely bubhubbers, I am completely new here and frankly get so little time to browse the net, what with all the BDing etc. never mind participate in my fave forums!!

But, for your bubhubbing army, I thought you may like to try these guys.. http://www.getup.org.au/
They are an Aussie political activist group, I joined some time ago when I donated for a similar cause mentioned, but on the shocking state of public mental health care in Australia.

They may be willing to take up the campaign and mobilise their following too..?

    Food for thought anyhoo

    Take Care!!

I'm not sure this warrants a new thread, but there's questions about maternity bras cropping up here and there which leads me to conclude that women aren't getting the right information. I know for a fact that there's not many fitters in bra shops trained to fit a maternity bra (eg allow for fluctuations in size due to milk) and it's a problem; a small one compared to some, but a problem for lots nevertheless. I'm not sure how to go about it, but a half hour's training session with just one staff member of a bra shop would help a lot of pregnant ladies.
