Default Activities for toddlers in the Redcliffe area?

    Hi there,

I have just moved with my 2 kids (3 and 16 months) to Woody Point. We would love to have any recommendations for playgroups (there is only 1 with places on the Playgroup Queensland Website - Reddy Rascals) and swimming lessons?

    Any advice much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    Hi, I'm in clontarf

The park at Margate is great. Its gated and has things for littlies to do as well as the older ones. The lagoon is also good, but I have trouble with 2 on my own there. A short drive to northlakes and there is the inside toddler playground and also the outdoor one where you can sit have coffee while they play. Thats a really good one for the younger ones too.
Over sandgate is another park, just over the bridge.
I take my nearly 3 year old to Shapland swim school at Clontarf. Its great, only 3 in a class and a play area for younger ones while they are waiting and all other spectators are behind one way glass, so no distractions.
There is a really good playgroup at a church on Elizabeth ave at at the Anglican Church, its behind it with its own area, fully equiped. Its not churchy.
Um, will add more as I think

There is a playgroup at the Baptist Church on E. Ave. I can't give any details on it as I haven't been there, but maybe that was the church that UsThreeGirls was referring too?!?!

lol yes it was. I noted it as I drove past today.

Wish I wasn't working/studying the days it was on, it was great.

Another thing to do is Redcliffe library have nursery rhymes on at 10 on a Wednesday. My 2 are roughly the same age as yours and both love it.

    Thanks for that.

Have called the church today and playgroup starts on 31/1 and is on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tuesdays currently full.

Thanks also for library tip looks like there are activites on there most days which is great!

If you do have any tips for childcare that would be great too. Probably just looking for somewhere for 1 day a week for my 3 year old for now (he has been in family day care til now). Not quite sure where to start on that one!

    Thanks again!

    Hi ladies,
We've just moved into the area too and was wondering if you knew any good childrens doctors? We are living in Margate & I saw a doctors surgery near the shopping centre but not sure if it's any good. Any help would be great thanks.

    Hi there,

Playgroup last Monday was v good so worth looking into!

Will look into childcare recommendations thanks, someone also recommended Grace Kindy in Redlcliffe to me too.

Haven't registered at a doctors yet but notice there is one that has after hours and bulk bills in Clontarf:

    Redcliffe Superclinic
    Shop 19B Clontarf Bayside Plaza
    9 Elizabeth Avenue CLONTARF
    Telephone 3883 2316

No idea if they are any good or not though!
