    Hi lovely ladies,
thanks for your support, Lizzie, Sarah, Shelby, Kez , Anemone, Pommie, all in our little group of girls, it certainly helps to have this group to talk to.
I have my appt with fs on the 6th of April, so we will see what "miracle" he can do.
Thats the first time I have heard what secondary infertility is, I guess I have it too.
Sarah, I hope your back is fixed soon, and your body bounces back from it all.
Shelby, I have fingers crossed for you good luck and keep us posted!!
Thanks too Lizzie for your support I couldn't tell SS he only cares about himself, and would only be pleased I think at all the unsuccessful cycles. I think he and his siblings would be jealous if I had a baby as they want all their dads attention, and money.
Hope everyone is having a stress free weekend.
    Love Jen xoxo

    Default feeling frustrated - ARGHHHH

    Hi there gals
just me again. I am feeling so frustrated with this whole TTC business and it is only 2 months - good lord I am now CD26 and 8DPO. If i wasnt having any symptoms and could just wait out each month - it would be so much simpler. Instead I am turning myself into some anxiety based hypercondriac (or however you spell it) LOL. I dont know what symptoms are what .
I just need to rant and get this out and I will so totally forgive you if you just switch off about now
I am going to list my symptoms / concerns and then what I think they could possibly be attributed to - as i am becoming such an expert in diagnosing myself since that horrible painful last AF.
Generally - (1) my stomach has that feeling of discomfort when you are starving hungry and this comes and goes in intensity. Diagnosis(Dx) - HUNGRY, or early pregnancy or early pregnancy and something is wrong.
    (2) My stomach feels bloated out and can get painfull like when you have been hanging on to a full bladder for too long. Dx - UTI, or early pregnancy but I have upped the old cranberry juice and water intake in case of UTI.
    (3) An on and off pulling sensation in my right side (it changes positions from where i get O pain, AF pain to even a little higher up near the hip or just above it) - sometimes like a stitch, sometimes like a pull - not painful just annoying. Not sure if it feels like a ting twist tho. Dx - Implanataion, Uterus stretching or eptopic pregnancy.
    (4) The previous two days (yesterday being the worst) there was an ocasional sharp stabbing pain and the location has varied b/w the same area as the pulling to across the top of my stomach above the belly button but tends to be associated with the right side still - Dx - as above.
    (5) Frequent urination - but hey, who wouldnt with the extra fluid intake.
    (6) Thought I may have been constipated and that this may be the cause of stomach discomfort so water intake plus prune juice - and today we no longer have a problem - although i may have overdone it as been twice and it is just on lunch time.
    (7) The following stuff I think i am just going to put down to withdrawal symptoms as today is day 7 of no antidepressant medication. - could easily burst into tears, bouts of irritability, foggy head and brain zaps (common effexor withdrawal symptom), wanting to withdraw from the world (having a sicki 2day)
    (8) And I seriously do not want to read too much into this but my coffee intake has like halved. I am an all day throughout the day coffee drinker but for about the last 3-4 days, i just dont feel like it. Lucky to have 3 or 4 cups instead of 6-8.
to anyone who is still here listening to me rave on - I am almost sick of hearing myself

My biggest fear, I spose like all of us is that something is wrong so I just want to go and find out and get it over and done with!!!

    Hi Shelby,

Sorry you're feeling so frustrated. I'm afraid I'm no expert so I can't really help much with the symptoms but you must be getting close to being able to POAS if you want to add one more thing to the list! My first pregnancy symptom was absolute exhaustion but I got that with the chem as well so I'm not much help. I just remember being SO up and down every month with the am I or aren't I guessing game. Its hard but I always believed in the TWW that I was PUPO so it was always very hard when the "blob monster" turned up (Sarah your DH has a wonderful way with words, that's just what its like). to you and for a BFP

Jen, I hope you get some good news from the FS. Your strength through all of this is inspirational. I hope there is a miracle for you very soon.

Hi Sarah, I got itching rather than twinges when I was having chiro on that area, VERY embarrassing! I hope its a good sign, it sounds like things are certainly being stimulated. We're moving into a rental on Friday (Yippee!) and I've found a decent second hand cot and have been given a car seat and pram by a mate so I'm close to set up.

Anemone I think you are 4 weeks ahead of me which means you must be getting very close now. Thinking of you lots, hope you're doing OK

To all you other lovely ladies much love and light, hope to talk soon. mwahx

Default update on me and checking in

Thanx pommie for your support - this is how new to all this stress i am - I read your post and re POAS - I am going umm Post ovulation something syndrome or umm post ovarian something something until odf course, i looked it up LOL. Anyway, I have not POAS yet as really dont think I want to get in and disappoint myself too early in the game. But as it turns out it looks like most of the sysmptoms I have been having are related to withdrawals from the antidepressants and in fact got so bad resulting in a heightened central nervous system that I have been put back on a different kind of medication (safer for conception and pregnancy and some diazapam to calm the system down. I am a professional drug and alcohol counsellor so I know this may not be the best option but it is the only one at this stage as it has already been nearly 1 1/2 weeks since i have gone to work.
Anyway, now at 12 DPO and it looks like the BBT is dropping so prob over the weekend or Monday (first day back at work - hopefully) - I will have AF to contend with LOL.

I hope everyone out there is going ok - and can anyone tell me anything about treatment for low progesterone levels?
    cheers to all.
    Shelby

Just popping on quickly before yoga class...

Shelby - oh I so feel for you with those symptoms and the constant thoughts of what they could be. I think I did that pretty much every 2ww and it is torture, hey. The trouble is that pretty much every symptom can be either normal PMS or early preg. My key symptom for my chemicals and the successful pg were bloating starting from 8-10 dpo, but that was about it. I hope AF stays away for you!!

Low progesterone can be treated with supplements - usually pessaries I think (vaginal) - but it would normally be a FS doing that and some dont believe in it. Another possibility is via a prog cream. I used that just to support prog levels in the luteal phase, and try and help with PMS (not sure if it worked!) but again its controversial, some dont believe enough gets absorbed to affect things. I remember reading about a few Drs in Aus who work as part of a natural conception program that is supposed to be an alternative to IVF. I think they are church-based but I cant for the life of me remember the name. If I remember Ill come back and post it as there was lots of info on the website about progesterone supplementation as they are v in favour of it.

Sarah - hope youre well and the chiro is making a difference to your back, and hopefully helping a little bean implant too!

Pommie - sounds like you're getting set up, that's great! Yup all good here, trying to chill and not to stress, never my strong point!

Keziah - would love to hear how the zumba teaching is going! And if youve set up another cycle at the clinic. And how life is in general!

Jen - Good luck for your FS appt tomorrow! Hope he comes up with some constructive ideas.

    to everyone Ive forgotten

    Default Starting new cycle

    Hi girls
AF arrived and suprisingly I had little cramps and nothing like last month so I wonder if last month could have been a possible very early m/c or that taking the evening primrose oil caps this month has also made a difference. YHANKS so much to all you ladies (specially Jen, Pommie and Anemone) who gave me gr8 support over the last few weeks but it looks like all the symptoms were very much related to the discontinuation of the anti - depressants as both my psych and GP have said that my symptoms were very much related to a central nervous system withdrawal response.
Anyway, I am still off work as these symptoms persist but very very bloody slowly reduce day by day.
I am dissapointed getting AF as I really had my heart set on a December baby as both mine and my partner's b'day are in Dec, but besides that I am ok and looking forward to charting for O this month. We are only in out third month of trying and I know that there are so many of us out there who have been trying much much longer. As I am in Adelaide, I am off to a specialist natrupath tonite re fertility as she has been on Today Tonight and so am looking forward to that and what it may bring. I have a feeling that my progesterone doesnt stay hhigh enough for long enough so will be interesting if this will change with some natural intervention LOL.
Anyway girls, take care and I hope all is going well for you all. Jen - how did the FS appt go???

    Hi Ladies
Shelby sorry to hear about AF turning up, hope you are ok luv xox
Hi Pommie, Anemone how are the mums to be going? Have we got any names picked out? I hope you are both looking after yourselves.
sorry I have been laying low lately, but feel I don't have much to talk about except a bit of whining, and have felf absolutely like crapola. So asked my fs yesterday if there are side effects with the prednisolone, and yes if u stop suddenly (like I did) you feel terrible, lethargic, depressed, you are supposed to wean yourself off them, the nurses were supposed to inform me of this. Anyway moving on...I am going in on monday for a hysteroscopy biopsy and a curette, to see if there are problems and to scrape the lining of my uterus away hoping a new lining that regenerates is good. So fun stuff!! Have signed up for number 10 cycle. After that?
Kez how have you been, Zumba queen!! where are you, I need some inspiration!!
Sarah how is your back? any improvement yet?
Oh my little cuddles the cat brought home a mouse last tuesday night. Thankfully I was at work, but dh called me to let me know! Yes it was dead.
So thats about it, except I have a really sore throat, and hoping it doesn't escalate, which of course it is or they wont do procedure on monday. I won't tell them.
    love to all xoxox

Jen - sorry to hear you're feeling so cr%p with coming off the steroids. THey say that steroids have a mild antidepressant action so perhaps thats part of it. Hope you feel better soon. With the hysteroscopy/biopsy will they test for NK cells or have they already done that? Good luck for Mon and hope the throat thing doesnt turn into a cold. I reckon Echinacea can be great for seeing off a cold, if you get it in time. I take the liquid.
Yup all good here thanks. As for names - yes a shortlist but will wait for the day to really decide....

Keziah - how you going hun? Zumba-ing up a storm no doubt? Come on and tell us whats new when you get a chance.

Sarah - hope things are a bit less stressful at work and no more computer problems. And how's the chiro going?

Shelby - so sorry that AF came . It is v upsetting I know. Hope you can do something pampering for yourself...Antidepressant withdrawal symptoms can be awful too - I was on them 7-8 years ago and even cutting down by 1/2 tab at a time, I felt horrendous. Hope it is fully out of your system soon.

Pommie - how is the new place? Hope you and bubs are well! Any sign of Spring in the UK?

    to everyone else.

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend - how exciting for the Sydneysiders that it isnt raining for once. Im off to see what they can do with my mop at the hairdressers, it's getting so feral...

    Hi ladies
Anemone, I can understand mums want to meet their bub before naming them, my cousin did, and it was a good idea as Bella is more fitting than Savannah!!
Have got a cold now and am coughing my guts up as I type but cant take anything because I'm fasting for hysteroscopy at 1pm.Oh the joy, I just hope they dont send me away because of it.
NK cells, I assume my fs will test for that, he already tested my blood for killer anti bodies which are very high, (over active immune system) which is why i was on the prednisolone and clexane on my last cycle.
hope everyone is well will let you know what happens.
    Love you all
    Jen xx

    Hi ladies

    Can I join in?

I've just turned 36 and DH & I are going for bubba #1. I'm trying to balance my & moments but it's hard right now. I'm about to do an onslaught of tests and hope to convince DH to get the sperm analysis done (already suggested to him) as I figure I don't want to wait month in & month out if something is not quite right given I'm a little older. I'm currently waiting for AF as I don't think I'm PG this cycle. Hopefully she arrives in the next few days so I can get the tests out of the way and know what our baseline is.

So enough about me for the moment. I really wanted to say hi for you all x
