I have been ttc for a little over two years now and I am recently turned 37, DP is 25. I am due to go back to the FS this friday and really don't know what he is going to say. In Sep '10 I had surgery for Endo and last year I had 3-4 cycles of Clomid and 1 cycle of IUI. Since then I have been going to a naturopath and have recently started seeing a massuese who is a SCENAR practitioner. I have friends and work colleagues (who are friends also) who are having babies all around me and I am very happy for all of them. Sometimes it is very frustrating and sometimes it is very emotional trying to deal with all this.
What I would like to say to all of you out there no matter what you do or don't put on here it's always reassuring to know that you're not the only one going through ttc difficulties. Thanks to all of you brave enough to share your journey, I know I should share a little more of mine because a load shared is a load halved.

anyway I know it's a couple weeks in to the new year, but I would love to wish you all a very happy and successful 2012 and may all of us have BFP's.

    Cheers,
    Tam
Welcome Tamagotchi. Sorry that you find yourself on here.

I know how you feel. It's been 5 years of TTC for DH and myself and still nothing (other than 3 babies). Plus my sister is about to have her 3rd bub any week now which doesn't help the situation.

And you're so right. A problem shared is a problem halved. Good luck this year.

Welcome 2beamum, hope you are not with us long and get your bfp soon.

AFM- still using mobile, arrived home to find lightening strike had executed our landlinr, pc, modem and anything else connected at the time. We were lucky the house didn't burn down
How's your Nan, Hun? Any changes since last time? I'll be thinking of you.

    Hi Ladies

I feel I may be more at home here than in all the testing threads. I have been following (aka stalking) this thread for 6 months now and feel it may be time to become a part. I don't post too much, but read along frequently to see how you amazingly strong ladies have been travelling.

I am 36, (37 in two months) and DH is 38. We have been TTC actively since about Nov 2010, but had stopped contraception in July 2010. We are still yet to see a BFP. I've had bloods and US's and none show anything. We've been on the Chinese herbs and acupuncture for 8 months and that has really helped with my ov pain and period pain and general wellbeing. DH sperm within all norms.

In November 2011 we were finally referred to a FS, which we still can't see until Feb . I have to keep reminding myself that if he takes that long he must be good, let's hope so.

I really hope that 2012 is the year for all of us.

Welcome Wunsi. I hope you do find yourself at home here.

I'm going to be 37 in two months too and before I had given up hope, but now with my weight loss going full steam ahead, i'm more focus and determined than ever to make my and DH's dream come true of having a baby. I mean it's been 5 years since we've been TTC, so I think it's time I had at least one. LOL

Good luck in your TTC journey. Hope things work out for you and you get a BFP very soon.

ahh bugger, I just typed everything I wanted to say and hit the wrong button!

hopefulmum2b and welsh mummy thanks for the welcome.

wunsi welcome and I hope you find comfort and inspiration here.

Feebs 04 good luck with your transfer tomorrow sending you lots of.

AFM - I am off to the specialist in Albury on Friday, have no idea what he will say. It's been 5-6mths since I was last there and that was when I had my (so far) one and only IUI which was unsuccessful. Just hope I don't get all weepy again, everytime I am sitting across from the FS I get teary and can't seem to help it! At the moment I feel pretty calm, come friday morning I could be like this ... just kidding!

Hi all, welcome to the newbies, fingers crossed you all have good luck, especially those seeing specialists and having eggs implanted
Feebs04 - how did you go?
Tamogotchi - how did you go at the specialist?
Wunsi - I am counting down the days to Feb too as I am in the TWW now. Good luck with your appt!
Hopefulmum2b - how is your weight loss going? I've still got 2 kgs left from my pregnancy to lose, and then the 4 kgs I put on over the Christmas just before I fell pregnant, so got about 6 to go... didn't lose any over this Christmas, but was just happy not to have put any on!
Anyway, am a teacher, so the new school year starting on Monday will no doubt keep me busy while I count down to AF.
    Good luck all!!

    HI everyone,

Well the specialist app't went well. I will be doing at least one more IUI. Only this time I will be taking clomid from days 5-12(i think) and then something about having injections for five days and the IUI and taking prednisolone. I need to go read what they gave me and sort it all out in my head. Anyway sounds promising and if that doesn't work the first time I then make a decision about whether we try another IUI or go straight to IVF. So I'm feeling pretty positive about things. Howz ervyone else doing?

Feebs04 - any update on your transfer?

Angel - ouch, back to school already! my hat off to you teaching is a challenging profession. My sincerest best wishes to you for a rewarding and successful year both personally and professionally.

Well goodnight and hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

    Tam

Welsh Mummy - sorry to hear about your nan. Wow so lucky about your house not burning to the ground too.

Tamagotchi and Wunsi - welcome hope that you both have good news to share soon. Good luck to both of you at the FS and starting your journey. I found the whole process ie tests and all the poking and prodding quite daunting, so you're not alone.

Hopefulmum - that's excellent about your weight loss

AFM - I am now officially PUPO. Specialist's exact words to me on Thursday were "you've exceeded our expectations" They put the 2 fertilised eggies back in, so here's hoping one of them sticks!!! I have found in the last couple of days since transfer that the bloating I had is not as bad and my boobs are less tender....is that normal?? I don't really feel any symptoms yet....I guess I'll have to wait until I'm able to do pregnancy test on 1 February
