Default ok my first judgemental thread....

.....so i don't want to type this but i need to vent....

Had a bbq for my hubbies bday - was lovely.

    However...

Went into my dds room and had a look at her fish tank and there were weird massive big colorful things in there that looked like big worms - i was freaking out thinking what the ***** is that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!????

ANYHOW then an older girl (10) who I have never meet before, (who is completely lovely and gorgeous) and was looking after dd and just being so helpful came in and said 'oh I don't know what that is, maybe the baby did it'?

Then my friends came in and I was going 'wtf is this'?? My bestie saw finger paint up on the TOP shelf (like 3 x my dds height) and was like 'its finger paint I think'!???

Anyway I went into panic mode cause Munch LOVES those fish and we just lost one and she was sooooo sad and I JUST got the tank right etc (only 3 fish so she KNOWS if one goes missing) - so I am trying to think what to do and this older girl comes in again and says - 'oh its paint I saw the baby (my dd) do it - oh SILLLLLLY baby' etc...

Anyway - I was cleaning the tank and being crazy and conditioning it and crap just trying to make sure the fish dont die and munch comes in and I say - 'baby did you put this paint in here'? (and fyi I KNOW she didnt cause A. the paint is WAY to high for her to get, and B. that tank has been in her room for 4 months and she wont even feed them without asking) - Munch says - 'It was the girl mummy' - I said what? She said 'it was the big girl', I said 'why'?? She said 'She just did it'???

Anyway the girl came it again and was blaming it on Munch saying what a bad baby she was and I said in a very calm manner 'I dont know who did it, but munch cant reach the paint, so I know it wasnt her, so I wont tell her she is naughty' etc.

I then found the jewellery box my sis gave me when munch was born had been broken on the same level that the paint had been.

I was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo angry - I know my munch isnt an angel but NO WAY did she do those things and I cant fathom why this girl did - and i know I didnt see her but I know she did.

Anyway no point to this post and i know i will probably get slammed by some but i had to get this out as pretty cranky and upset about it. x

Oh hun You're not being judgemental at all!! From the sounds of what you've said (and going by what Munch told you), it's obvious that this older girl is responsible. You handled it better than I would of...I would of confronted the girl and her parents and asked for 1) an apology and 2) an explanation of why she thought it was alright to behave that way.

I'm really glad the fish are OK. Are you able to repair the jewellery box at all?

Yeah that would p!ss me right off too. It's hard when you KNOW it wasn't your child that did something but they still get the blame. This is something I am working on personally because I usually let it go to 'keep the peace' but have realised my kids need to know I back them sometimes instead of trying to be nice to other people all the time.

I hope your fish are ok

Thanks so much I was so scared I was going to get 'stop being such a bish' replies (which are fine if you think I am, but I seriously think I am not being a bish.

Hmm well I still dont know if fish are ok? I pulled 2/3s their water out - way more then I should - and added conditioned water back in and cleaned the filter, but there is $H*T loads more paint floating in there - munchies poor sucker is looking very lethargic and sad - and she LOVES him - he is spottywat! We only just lost dottywat to an un - paint related incident!

I was most angry at the blame tbh - like i said munch is no angel but no way in hell she did this - she is 29 months old and to this day she has never drawn, marked, broken anything she shouldnt - dont get me wrong she can chuck tanties, be a crazy two year old screaming machine, embarrase me in public kid but she has ALWAYS been funny about things and ESPECIALLY live things - she would NEVER ever put stuff in the fish as I have told her how that can hurt them -so EVERY time she goes to feed them she comes to me 'mummy, can we feed the fishies - I think they are SSSSSTAAARVING!!' - and the paint was on the TOP shelf!

but yeah i feel terrible but i didnt bring it up to the mum (who fyi I LOVE and felt terrible for - first time meeting her but i really like her and hope to see more of her - she is just oen of those ladies who you want to be around) she saw me freaking out and asked what was going on to one of my other friends.

I really wanted to rouse on the girl especially after poor munch told me it was 'the big girl' and looked sooooooooooooooooooo devastated when I told her her fish could get sick - she was coming up to me when I was doing the water change saying 'oh mummy please give fishies medicine to make them better, panadol like when I am sick.'

The jewellery box can be fixed I think by DH but again not the point.

God I hope those fishies are ok tomorrow because if not I am going to have a veeeeeery sad munch on my hands xxx

Oh wow I really hope the fish are alright. It's good your jewellery box can be fixed but yeah, it's not the point really. Hopefully the fish will recover from today and be back to their usual selves by tomorrow .

Uh! How frustrating! I hope the fishies survive.

What a odd thing for a 10 year old to do
