Howdy. Just a quick msg to say hello- sorry not writing more often - things hectic!
Faith & sooty - sounds like you are chilling as much as poss in your down reg time
I'm at an off cycle just now & am trying to chill out & not worry for a change through a 2 week wait. DH said not to even bother trying 'naturally' during this one- given the chance of an unassisted healthy preg is so low but the stress of the 2ww is not good! So instead I'm having a glass of wine & trying to keep exercise up this cycle!

Last year I had a v difficult ectopic so am trying to avoid that horrid experience!

It just makes this whole thing stretch out even longer tho doesn't it?! With a 3 month down reg planned tho nothing is happening quickly anyway so may as well just have a mental break with the imposed physical break

Will be back in touch soon x

I had my second Zolodex yesterday and am booked in for my third. Next appointment I will be having another Zolodex and also planning to start stim drugs. Until then I'm on vacation too.

Still on vacation from IVF until next month but I have been in to see the FS. He's happy that I'm tolerating the zolodex (although the hot flushes have become more like a visit to the sun than feeling a warm tropical breeze) and booked me in for an endometrial scratch next month. He seems quite optimistic about our chances. Apparently the zolodex works much better than the pill at controling this disease.
Wave to all the ladies also on vacation.

    Hi Ladies

That's interesting re. the hot flushes. I just had my 2nd z. a week ago & the hot flushes have just kicked in, like you say, more like a burn.... grrrr! Long as it does the job I don't mind. Are you going to have a scan to see how well it Is working? I am booked in for 8 Oct to check things.

    Enjoy :

Hi girls. I have two appointments on Tuesday. One with the nurses and the other with the FS for an endometrial scratch. Looks like I will be back on track soon.

Thanks Daisy. I think it went well, it was 2 different places I had the 2 scans but the 2nd one shows nearly half in uterine volume so that's good. Apparently it can depend on the operator as well with a variance of measurements (great!).

Will have one more I think )

    Hi all,

I have been diagnosed with adenomyosis and also had three cycles of ivf. First one - no fertilisation, second-cycle cancelled. Third - BFN. I am just wondering if down regulation would help prior to commencing another cycle. Is there any evidence behind this. To top it all I have an anti flexed uterus with a narrow cervix which made the embryo transfer painful during the 3 cycle difficult.

Will implantation ion be a problem with adenomyosis?

    Hi Mercy,

My specialist told me there had been some research that showed a very long down cycle improved conception rates for both endometriosis and adenomyosis. He also said that in his clinic he had used this method and seen it work for his patients. He did mention that the studies were not big (hundreds of women in the study, not thousands) but after 3 failed cycles without a hint of implantation I was more than willing to give it a try. I am having my last zolodex injection next week then starting the stims again.
