Default which is the best for drinking

my kids only drink milk and water and i was wondering which sippy cups are the best to use and why? Straws, hard spout, soft spout and so on? or does it not matter?

    Thanks

I don't know that it really matters... I just use whatever my kids prefer!! They all like the Take -n-toss sippy cups, which have a hard spout. Always make sure I rinse the spout straight away after milk, otherwise it can get a bit yuk & hard to clean. But they go in our dishwasher fine which seems to clean out the tight spots.
I've found with straws when they're younger they still tend to tip the cup, so they don't get anything through the straw, and the drink spills/leaks. But now my girls are older they always want the straw ones... a bit of a novelty I guess

I just used trial and error til I found one they preferred.

DS is 12 months and still lifts his cup up. I tried a strawcup with him last week and it was a fail. He couldn't get anything out of it.
So he's back to his Nuby sippycup again. He can lift it up and shake it and the drink wont spill.

We tried several Avent and Tommee Tippee sippy cups before using Heinz Straw Cup for bub. He could only drink from the Heinz Straw Cup. I know the packaging says '12 months' but Bub started drinking from it when he was 7/8 months old and he is fine.

I think it depends on your children? You might want to try buying one sippy cup first and see how they go?

I bought one of the Heinz ones last week and he cant drink from it. He likes to tip his head back when he drinks and that doesn't work with the Heinz straw cup. I took that white little flow vent thing out and he spilled water all over the place
So we're back on the Nuby sippycup.

Keep offering it for about a week- he just needs to get the hang of sucking, not tipping.

I have a variety here. Straw bottles for everyday general water (but make sure they have a one way valve- my latest purchases don't and the boys found they leak if you tip them upside down.. whoops!)

And the take n toss ones are great for milk... because they're cheap you don't mind if your toddler hides it after their milk and it turns gross.. you can just toss it

    ....And I was like:
