Hopeful- I say go for it, you never know maybe his swimmers will stick around a while, and maybe you'll O early with a bit of luck! Stranger things have happened so give it your best shot! Here's some & for you

Hey guess what? My stupid body is still on strike! CD36 is almost over... still NOTHING!! I even POAS again this morning...just to be sure, I've never been so eager for AF to come knocking at my door!
I just don't understand why my body has to break down now? It better get its act together by Feb 7 or I'm going to spit the dummy!

I can't wait to get my results back, and get started on the pills...I have them all lined up on the bathroom bench in readiness!! I want to be a 'real' mum SOOOOOO much, its consuming my every thought, so I feel like, if this is the way its going to be, ok, lets get these pills working and try for another bubba!!

Hopeful and waiting: Give it a go, why not??

PA80: Thinking of you. It's exciting when you finally decide the time is right. Feels better to have a plan of attck for next time, yeah? And hopefully those results will inform you more too. I know the feeling of wanting that 'real' baby so bad every bone in your body aches for it.
Sadly for me it was a ROUGH road after she did come and I didn't enjoy much of it. Hoping a second pregnancy/ birth will be a bit more enjoyable.

Afm: Been troubled by palpitations for a few days now. Got them really bad on monday night (first day back at work) and spent the night in emergency. To be told one heart cell is firing off extra beats, but it's not harmful.
Doesn't make it any more comfortable though.
Tyrying to explain why I was on asprin was a bit of a joke. They really didn't have much idea what I was on about.

It's our wedding anniversary this week and we're off for a toddler free dinner Excited.

We are off to a bbq today with some old friends we havn't see for ages. The wife actually introduced my husband and me.

What's everyone else up to for Aust day?

CD1 !! AF finally decided to show her ugly face, only ELEVEN days late!

Happy Aussie Day everyone, bit of a non-event for us...hubby has gone to Jenny Craig to start his weight loss challenge, () and we are having lunch with two of my friends, and DH is going to fix her broken car!

Tatiana- I hate getting palpatations....used to get it a bit, not so bad now. I hope you feel better soon xoxo
Why were they confused about the Aspirin?
Enjoy your kid-free date & Happy Anniversary!

    Default Doctors Appointment

    Happy Australia Day Everyone!

    Have a great night Tatiana

Pa I know what you mean about your body, mine appears to be doing all the "normal" things now that it hasnt done for approx. the last 4 years! Its doing my head in
Thanks for the info about the Doc in Perth as well.

afm we see the doc on friday to get the results of the bloods that will confirm or deny factor five liden. Because i wasnt overly impressed by her last time im feeling a little more stressed this time and have been doing lots of my own research so i am a little bit in the know about it all. A question for you all: did your OB-GYB diagnose and decide on treatment or did you have to see some other specialist or your FS?

    Hi Ladies,

Luvabubba - haven't heard from you in awhile so hoping that everything is going well and your levels are rising.

Tatiana - Yikes! So sorry about the heart issues and hospital. How scary. I hope you're feeling much better.

PA80 - Yay for AF! So happy for you. I can totally relate to just want to start trying so much and not being able to with a weird cycle. Fingers crossed for this month.

Hopeful - go for it! It's not hugely common but sperm can live for up to 7 days in fertile cm. I think 2-3 days is normal.

Kimnus - welcome! Glad you're doing so well.

Emzy - Good luck with your bloods tomorrow. I see a cardiologist who works closely with my gyno. I think he brings a lot to the table and I really value having his experience.

    Hello to everyone else!

AFM - checked in with cardiologist today. All my bloods are looking good. Pretty disappointed though - he said he would recommend that I not go on flights over two hours when pg and don't fly beyond first trimester. I'm really close to my mum and she's a 10 hr flight away Wouldn't be so bad if it were just for 9 months, but can't book anything in advance while TTC to be safe.

I'm now on cartia, megafol, b6 and b12 for the TTC journey.

Have a wonderful day and weekend everyone!

I'm still around thanks for thinking of me Windupbird

Windupbird: I'm sorry that you won't be able to visit your Mum is there anyway that she can come to you? Also it sounds like you are all prepared to start TTC Best of luck!

Tatiana28: Sorry to hear about your heart issues. I hope that it has all resolved itself now.

Everyone: Wow this thread has had so many newbies join Good luck with those TTC and its great to have input from those that have success stories. I am also sorry to hear of those who have had losses you get your sticky bubs soon.

AFM: Things are going well so far. I ended up getting a second progesterone result which was lower than the first 24.9 (from what I've read it should be above 30 for pregnancy) so I completely freaked out even though my HCG rose to 17526! So my OB told us to get our scan done early last week instead of this week to ease my mind. So last Tuesday we saw bub measuring 6 weeks 2 days (1 day behind my dates) with a little heartbeat of 124bpm

Since then I have not given the progesterone results a second thought I'm feeling pretty good most days, but I have had a few very ordinary days too but nothing I would complain about I'm 7 weeks 2 days today (I didn't bother changing dates after the scan because I hated going backwards even 1 day ) and I'm looking forward to the 12 week scan so we can see the bug again

Luvabubba- Glad your little munchkin is doing well!

Emzy- how did Friday go? Did you get the results you wanted?

Tatiana- I hope your heart is behaving itself now

Windupbird- I have the same situation, me & my mum live on opposite sides of the country, but luckily she said she will come see me when I'm pregnant

I have a question: Not sure if Windup or anyone else can shed some light on for me...
The doc said don't start Megafol, Cartia & Caltrate until I have my test results, just in case I have to re-do any bloods, as he wants base line.... So we get the results on Monday (Can't wait!)
I am set to Ovulate approx 2 days later....do you think he will let us TTC this month? He vaguely mentioned the Megafol needing 3 months to take full affect....what have your doc's said in respect to how soon you could TTC once started meds??
I am so impatient LOL, I just want to get started TTC !!!

    Hi Ladies,

Luvabubba - yay! So happy to hear that you and bub are doing so well. Congratulations!

PA80 - as far as your question - if you do have MTHFR (particularly if you have two copies of the mutation) then your baby may be at greater risk of developing a neural tube defect or down syndrome due to the body's difficulty in metabolizing folic acid. This seems to be pretty well cleared up with Megafol. If you have MTHFR you could request a folic acid BT and see whether your levels are low before you decide when to TTC. I had only taken megafol for 2 months before we started ttc because my doctor did not mention anything about the increased risk of birth defects. Here's a link to just one of many, many articles that tie MTHFR to increased NTD and down sydrome: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19725133

I don't believe that blood clotting disorders are generally associated with low folic acid - I think it's just MTHFR.

Good luck with your test results on Monday! Let us know how it goes.

Emzy - hope everything went well with you

    to everyone else.

    Hi Everyone

    Luvabubba: Great news!

Pa and Windup thanks for asking
I waited 45 minutes to see the Doc and then it was a locum from interstate filling in, he hadnt read my notes and so I told him why I was there. He went through all the blood results and basically it showed nothing very much. There is a minor factor v lieden mutation but he siad none of the other stuff usually associated with it is showing and that it most likely didnt cause the m/c. He told me to keep up the weight loss and maybe we will get lucky on our own seeing that my body seems to be behaving normally at the moment.
I went to see my GP on Monday with some questions which she was able to help with. She said i would need to see the OB as early as possible and they would most likely put me on clexane during the preganancy but there is nothing that needs to be done pre conception.

Im feeling really stuck now though about where to go next. Do we just wait and see what my body does and if we can get UTD on our own or do we just go back and do another round of IVF now?
Maybe its just itchy feet, I want to be UTD again

Big hugs and lots of to you all.

    Emzy
