    Hi All,

    I have just experienced m/c #3.

i have lupus anticolgulant and saw my recurrent m/c specialist today. i am going to see my other fertility specialist to get me to have a laparoscopy, which could be a good thing to have done now. she wants me on low dose aspirin now too, to take before getting pregnant.

she'd like me to wait 2 cycles cause perhaps after 1, my body may have not had a good enough endo lining she feels to maintain a pregnancy.

My doc wants me to not continue thinking that it def is the blood clotting disorder causing these early m/c, as she states thrombophilias cause m/c usually after 9+ weeks (foetal m/c) and not embryonic m/c which mine all are. it could just be some bad luck she says.

She does say i have mild antiphosphilipid antibodies and that she is not necessarily certain that early m/c are being caused because of this. she is hesitant to start clexane injections until 6 weeks pregnant. she doesnt believe it will assist me starting any earlier, unless my fert specialist think so. i will ask him when i see him next week.

i am just very angry with my body for not cooperating these days as i had no issues conceiving nor during my pregnancy w DD.

    Default So sorry Merri

    Oh Merri
I am so sorry to hear your news.
Like you, I have lupus and mild antiphospholipid syndrome. I have had 2 m/c, one at 5w and one at 9w.
All my specialists (FS, rhematologist and high risk obstetrician) totally agree that for me it is essential to be on low dose aspirin (150mg) and clexane (40mg) daily from the night before FET.
It sounds like you need this drug regimen as well.
I urge you to discuss this with your FS and obstetrician.
Hope you get some support and a good plan for moving forward from here.

thanks for your lovely reply. yes i agree that i too need the clexane asap, and i mean, what's the difference between starting it at 4 weeks to 6 weeks. i dont care about 2 extra weeks of the horrid jabs (some people say they are).

i'm seeing my fert specialist next thurs, and will get his opinion as well as his opinion of doing a laparoscopy (which he was gonna do back in dec, but then fell preggers that cycle, so cancelled it).

I guess i'll have the lap anyway, as if we dont get preggers, we're gonna have to then look into IVF anyway, and would wana explore any things lingering around before going down that path.

Getting hubby tested in the meantime too for his bloods for glucose, clotting etc.

Hi ladies, I am new to this thread and thought I might be able to add something after reading some posts. I have been trying to conceive our first baby for 9 1/2 years with no luck after being with a FS who wanted to try nothing different for us. I finally found a FS who is very much for the Colorado protocol and he put me on, amongst a heap of other stuff, on daily aspirin and Clexane injections from the day after egg pick up. He also did a biopsy of my uterus lining and found natural killer cells and gave me intralipid intravenous treatment for that. Well what can I say, a miracle happened. On my very first fresh stim cycle with my new FS and new clinic I fell pregnant for the first time in my life. We found out last Monday and it was truly a surreal day! I'm still in shock. All going well so far with rising HCG levels and I am exactly 5 wks pregnant tomorrow. We are so over the moon! So I guess I just wanted to give you all firstly hope that it can happen even after nearly 10 years of trying and go find a FS who will agree to give you the aspirin, Clexane etc Something clearly did the trick with me instantly! I need to stay on Clexane till 16 weeks of pregnancy and aspirin till 34th week of pregnancy. The Clexane causes terrible stomach bruises but it's worth it if you get your miracle good luck!

    Mary

Congrats Mary! Good luck with your pregnancy.
I inject clexane daily too and if you want to reduce the bruising try using an ice pack before and after , I found it significantly reduced the bruises.

    Hi ladies,

A little update from me. All going well so far, I'm 5wks 5 days pregnant tomorrow. My last HCG was 1255 which was perfect. Next bloodwork to check levels is on the 11 April and my scan will be in the 7th week on the 16 April. We're praying to hear that previous little heartbeat (or two) at the scan. Counting down 11 days till my scan. It seems to always be a never ending wait for something. I'm still super bloated, find it hard to eat much so eat little bits at a time. I look 4 mths pregnant because of the bloating and was told it will continue for the first trimester due to the hormones. I'm still getting very sore cramps every day but my FS said its normal but it still worries me. The boobs are sore and I get waves of nausea throughout the day but it's not too bad at the moment. Best wishes to all for a happy and safe Easter !

    Mary

Hi gals, just wanted to let you know the pathologist told me I didn't need to take aspirin for my prothrombin disorder since I don't have a personal history ... and got a bfp two days ago!
