Totally normal unfortunately. I had one or two that lasted a year! No joke! There's one on my leg tht has lasted since starting this pregnancy! a nurse told me to look closely at the needle and youl notice a slant, make sure you can c tht slant going downways and guide your needle in don't shove it, kind of like your sewing a delicate garment. And push the injections slowly, helps if you rub them between ur palms to warm it up a bit... HTH

Yes the nurse told us about the little beveled bit. I can't do them myself so DH has been doing them for me. I found some good little spots where it doesn't hurt much and barely leaves a mark. I'll keep my eye on it and make sure it doesn't get any bigger.

    Hi Ladies,

Emzy & Poobear - so glad things are going so well for you both. I hope the next few weeks don't prove too anxious.

PA80 - yay on the ok to TTC. Lots of babydust to you.

Kristibel - I took Clexane till week 12 and switched to Cartia after that. I had one specialist saying to take it and another saying to skip it. My OB's advice was that there isn't a whole lot of evidence that aspirin would make a huge difference, but on the chance it could make a difference there was a lot of evidence that aspirin is perfectly safe for mum and bub during pregnancy, so on balance you may as well take it.

Sammy - good luck with injections. I found a quick stab myself to be the best way to go and applying 10 min of pressure afterwards minimised bruising.

    Hello to everyone else!

AFM - I'm now sporting a bruise-free little bump. Can't wait to find out the sex 3 weeks from tomorrow! (Although we're seeing the OB on Friday and there's a slim chance he'll be able to tell on his sono machine.)

    Hi Ladies

Windupbird - Goodluck hopefully you'll see the sex on Friday!

Kristabel - my ob took me off clexane and asprin when I had a small bleed at 9 weeks till 12 weeks, and I'm back on both now. She said it can make the bleed worse. Hope all is going well.

I wasn't aware of having the slanted bit of the needle going downways. Does that mean you are looking at the slanted bit?

AFM- Just heard from my ob and she said my TSH level is a bit high, so now I've got to go on thyroxine as well. I can't believe how many things are wrong with my body! Diabetes, Thyroid, Protein S Deficiency, bladder dysfunction arghhh! Body, give me and peanut a fricken break PLEASE!!!!

I'm on thyroxine too. Had to since dd was born and my thryoid gave up. More antibodies nuked it. *sigh*
Had to up my dose twice this pregnancy.
Sorry you have another tablet to deal with.
Thyroxine's important for the fetus brain development.

and got UTD first go.. Blood spec and doc says dont keep taking it as i have only had 1 miscarrige and my sis had 4.Hmm well i scared if i stop taking it ill lose it from a clot or keep taking it and risk my blood getting to thin or something and bleeding... Im leaning more to keep taking it? what do you girls think? I have also read only take 81mg daily where as the one i have is 100mg

    Thanks
Hi kristabel, sorrythis is a bit late, but I've had no miscarriages, and my OB still had me on 100mg once a day. I figure it can't hurt really, so if you're more comfortable on it, keep taking it. Make sure your drs know though, as you might need to stop before the birth, especially if you have a csect, but I took mine up to the day before DD was born...
