Congrats Sammy! Great news, hope all goes well for the next 8 months!

MrsBeee - My ob only discovered my protein S deficiency when I had already fallen pregnant, so I'm not sure if I would need to take asprin to TTC.

    How is everyone else???

AFM - doing well, belly is starting to pop now which is exciting. I haven't told many people yet so I guess pretty soon it will be pretty obvious.

MrsBee: I'm on asprin only for pregnancy and tcc. My doc recommended taking it 3 months before tcc.

Sammy: Congrats on your bfp!! Very exciting.

Poobear: me too. Into the maternity pants now. I don't like anything tight on my tummy.

MummytoThomas: I'm glad to hear you got some answers. It least now you can get a plan formulated.

Afm: Had my 12 week scan yesterday. I was really packing myself to tell you the truth. As soon as I saw it I was like 'yay it's a baby!'
2 arms, 2 legs, heart so far looking good. DD was born with a congenital heart defect. Downs risk 1:9000. So very good. Really relieved about it all really.

3 months?! God dammit!! I should have been thinking about this before!! Oh well, I only started taking it at about 8 weeks with DD, so maybe if I just start now... Well, tomorrow anyway, after going to the chemist.

Hope all the pregnancies are going well, glad you've finally got some answers mummy_to_thomas and best of luck and lots of this for everyone else TTC!

Thanks Ladies. I still don't think it has sunk in yet.

Just wondering when did everyone start their clexane injections? The Dr said to me that I needed to start as soon as a viable heartbeat is detected which is normally 5 - 6 weeks right? I'm not seeing the Dr until the 31st May but I'm not sure if I should just wait until then or try and get an earlier scan

    Hey Sammy

I got my BFP and went to see Doc the following day and he started me on injections that day. I would have been only about 4wks+2 days at that stage. Do you have the meds already? Maybe just give the Doc a call tomorrow to see if you can start taking the injections now before the scan??? After all we all need all the help we can get to make sure these little beans stick!! Sending you lots and lots of

I recently found out i have Lupus disease and im ANA + and have high cardiolipin antibodies, my fs said not to worry about any medication despite my previous miscarriages. My gp has recommended i take low dose aspirin as i cant take any other meds due to ttc.

My question is....do you think i should be on some other meds when i get pregnant ?? My fs said nah we wont worry about any meds we will just see what happens....I dont want to see what happens again i know what happens, i lose my babies at 6 weeks and my body see's my babys as an infection and kills it.

Sorry for blabbing, i just a bit confused with the conflicting information. This month i have released 3 eggs so im hoping one or more have decided to fertilise and need to be prepared for the next step if it happens.

    Hi Ladies,

Hope everyone is well. I've been more of a stalker than a poster lately, but saw Sammy's news!!

Sammy - HUGE congrats!!! You and dh must be so, so thrilled. I read your longer version on the PCOS thread. Just so happy to see another PCOS bfp. Lots of hugs and sticky baby dust to you. As for your question - I was told to start Clexane as soon as I got a bfp rather than wait for the heartbeat. Good luck with your choice.

Mrs Bee - hi. Everyone I went to told me something different about aspirin, so don't have much to offer you.

Wicked - who will be managing your immune/clotting issues during pregnancy? Seems like maybe a preconception appointment with a specialist might be worthwhile? My FS saw no need for me to take Clexane, but my OB physician who will be managing issues over my pregnancy put me on it. I reached the safety net early this year, so the specialist appointments only cost $15 out of pocket and I was referred to a haematologist thru the public system.

EM'sMama - how's the TTC roller coaster treating you? Fingers crossed for a bfp for you very soon.

Tatiana - Clexane count down! How many more injections do you have left? How are you feeling?

Poobear - lovely photos! Thank you for sharing. Hope all is going very well for you.

Hello to all the other ladies! Sorry to anyone I've missed.

AFM - stopped Clexane Wed night and switched to Cartia (yay)!! So lovely to stop the dreaded injections. MS is clearing up and have an exciting little bump 12 week scan was great, can hardly wait to find out the sex in 6+ weeks.

Hope everyone has a good week.

WickedNails - I have high high levels of anticardiolipids too and on my last pregnancy (which was the only one that went full term as I was losing at 7-8 weeks every other time without any meds) my daily meds from as soon as I got my BFP were:
    1 low dose aspirin
    2 injections of clexane
1 injection of Gestone (progesterone hormone shot)
    1 Progesterone pessary
25mg of Predisolone steroid (this surpresses your immune system to prevent those anticardilipids attacking the little bean)

I was on the injections and pessary for the first 12 weeks and steroids until week 20 and continuted to take the aspirin til the delivery.

Its so funny reading all the different meds that women with the exact same condition are being prescribed. I mean classic example is you being told not to worry about taking anything from you fs??????? I know for a fact that if I did not have all the medical intervention above, my dd would not be here with us. Do you think you should query the fs decision about the meds?????

Windupbird - congrats on getting to the 12 wk marker and coming off he clexane!!! Am dreading starting all those injections WHEN I get my BFP!! Am being as positive as I can be this month hehe!!

Hey to everyone else. Have a 2 year old with an 18 year old's attitude this morning AGGGGHHHHH Gonna be a long day.....
