Now I have to say that I have only known for a couple of days that I have factor 5 but that is a few days research that i have done and i have seen obstetricians at a recurrent miscarriage clinic in Melbourne.

But for wha its worth, I was told that i could start taking a baby asprin a day before they got the final results, the midwife said that it wont do any harm but i felt much like you and was worried about it. Now that they have found that i have factor 5 they have said to take it during the entire pregnancy.

I have also done some research and have found that purple grape juice can be even more effective than baby asprin.

I also have a friend who i have found out has the same thing and she actually had a blood clot when she was younger even though she is only hetero so from 12 weeks onwards in all of her pregnancies she has clexane injections.

Would it be possible to get a referral to see a hemetologist (not sure of spelling) or a naturapath who can possible assist with some natural alternatives.

If there was something i could have done to prevent the heartache of the having my miscarriages I would have walked through hoops so i would go and see someone and get some advice.

Good luck and i hope that your ttc journey is quick!

    xx
    thanks for the info
Went to doctors yesterday and she just said she is going to talk to the other doctor i went to ,to see what he says..they dont have a clue about any of it so have a follow up appointment next week so will just ask for a referral...grrr makes me so angry

    Hi Ladies,

Just thought I'd pop in for a quick hello.

Heather - how did your appointment go? We met with our FS 2 weeks ago and are starting IVF in April.

Hopeful - sorry to hear it's IVF for you too. I hope everything works out for you.

Afm - was referred to an internal med specialist/OB who thought the original recs from the vascular specialist were 'extreme'. She's happy for me to be on Clexane for a much shorter period of time and to fly while TTC/early pregnancy, so am off to see my mum this weekend. Yay!

Hope everyone is well and getting bfps. Babydust all around.

Ummm I have only had a few days to process it all but I have found that at some points through the day I feel calm and ok with the decision..for some reason it kind of feels nice to have an end to this even though it's not the outcome I wanted it's still ending a long struggle with my body and emotions...

And then at other times I am just crying for no reason (well obviously for a reason but over silly things) I feel angry and empty but I know that the only way to deal with it is to let it out and keep talking to Dh..

Funnily enough it's him Im angry and upset with but it's him I want to comfort me..

My friends keep saying he may change his mind but I don't think that will happen so now we have to move on and live our life enjoying the two monsters we already have!!

This doesn't mean that my want for a baby is any less it just means my marriage means more I guess...

I will keep popping in every now and then to say hi and see how you all are doing!!

    Lots of love x x

Oh Hopeful am sorry to hear that hun and can totally understand your emotions are all over the place. Keep well and stay strong.

Chubear that tends to happen when you try to keep track of your af, it decides it doesnt want to play nice and jumps all over the place!!!

Well I am on tww now so fingers crossed although not very optimistic as hubby was away for a few days so we could only bd one of the days I around ovulation time but sure that's all it takes eh???

My OBGYN dropped my predsisolone to 10mg a day which has made a huge difference to my appetite, mood and most importantly for me my skin!!! So only another 10 days to test!

    T
