    Hi Chu
At the moment it's only aspirin, they will then monitor me and we will take it from there x

Lisa, Sorry my yesterday went a bit out of control.... I'm glad you found this thread and put an update from your appt, I was trying to catch you on FB! Well I guess there's some good news in your results, and like we were saying the other day, at least we know what we are dealing with now!
I am not on aspirin for TTC, but doc wants me to take it as soon as I get a BFP, then I add clexane to the mix from 6wks gestation. Not really looking forward to injecting myself, I'm a big chicken sheit when it comes to needles!

So now that we are allowed to TTC, my body has taken a vacation and I'm still waiting for O.... CD 23 today I think... hmmm, but I'm not giving up yet!

Hey gals, BFN this month. Bit dissapointed because we dtd at the right time and no joy
Giving tcc a miss for a couple of months to do some other stuff. Might take a trip to NZ to see the family. My grandparents are still over there and they haven't seen dd for ages. I'm sure they'd be really stoked.

Found out last week a dear friend of mine had died from melanoma. So tragic, he's only 40.
Spurred me on to go get all my moles checked, and they were all ok.
Go get your moles checked girls!! He didn't feel well and was given 6 weeks to live. Unbelievable.

Still trying to sort this clexane script stuff. Think I might have to book in at the womens and get the meds that way. But I'm in for a fight.

Kimnus: Full on. Might pick you up a bit though, low iron makes you feel like crap. How's your bub doing now?

Chubear: As the other said the asprin is to thin the blood and minimise clots forming in the placenta = good blood flow to baby and m/c risk lessens.

angelbubswithwings: Hi Glad your getting some answers.

    Default Hi There

Hi Paula, I hope today is a bit calmer for you. I asked about clexane but the ob really thinks that the asprin is enough, i have been researching today and there is a whole lot of natural foods like purple grape juice that are also anticog.. apparantly studies have shown that the grape juice is better than asprin. Sucks about o but hopefully happens soon. I am definately o'ing but having short cycles the last couple - most likely because of the weight loss. I am crossing my fingers for this one.

Thanks for the welcome Tatiana and sorry about the BFN, it never gets any easier does it. Are you in Melbourne? The womens here has been so wonderful to me.

So sorry to hear about your friend. I am covered in moles and get them checked quite regularly. It kind of puts life into perspective - you just never know what's around the corner.

    xx

    hay ladies,
I was just wondering if anyone with Factor 5 leiden started on asprin while ttc or did you start after getting a bfp? I have been ttc for 2 months and dont have a very helpful gp so have made another one for tomorrow as he thinks i dont need to take anything with this blood disorder while pg...I dont feel comfortable with this so any information would be helpful..Thanks

    Default Hey There

    Hi Kristibel

Now I have to say that I have only known for a couple of days that I have factor 5 but that is a few days research that i have done and i have seen obstetricians at a recurrent miscarriage clinic in Melbourne.

But for wha its worth, I was told that i could start taking a baby asprin a day before they got the final results, the midwife said that it wont do any harm but i felt much like you and was worried about it. Now that they have found that i have factor 5 they have said to take it during the entire pregnancy.

I have also done some research and have found that purple grape juice can be even more effective than baby asprin.

I also have a friend who i have found out has the same thing and she actually had a blood clot when she was younger even though she is only hetero so from 12 weeks onwards in all of her pregnancies she has clexane injections.

Would it be possible to get a referral to see a hemetologist (not sure of spelling) or a naturapath who can possible assist with some natural alternatives.

If there was something i could have done to prevent the heartache of the having my miscarriages I would have walked through hoops so i would go and see someone and get some advice.

Good luck and i hope that your ttc journey is quick!

    xx

When I wanted to discuss factor 5 and pg, my dr gave me a refferal to an obstetric physician at the rbh. Maybe your dr can give you one?

Kimnus: That's great, love it when they start to goo and gah
    Hope the transfusion helps.

kristibel: Don't have factor 5, but I had to start asprin before tcc to help with implantation.

AFM: DD's been horrible sick No big fevers for the past 24 hours though, so hopefully on the mend.
Still no AF... cd 32 and counting.. all the hpt say neg though. Hopefully it comes soon. Feeling bloated and grumpy.
