I intentionally stirred the pot at xmas?

FIL is a homophobe, not like extreme though.

So we are having xmas at his house, and doing santa there. And I am sooo tempted to get DS some cheap dress ups and beads, just from Crazy Clarks or something. He would love it. And i think FIL's reaction would be priceless.

Tee hee hee. I probably shouldnt though. Perhaps a dolls pram is enough for him to take in at once.

Lol no its not so bad. Would be very tempting actually! I got ds a lovely pink dolls pram last year and my fil called me a hippie ha ha but he isn't a homophobe just very traditional!

no bad, but it may have negative knock on effect to your DS if you FIL causes a seen, he may make your DS feel he has done something wrong, Sure that wouldnt be your intention and you would be re assueing him that he wasnt doing anything wrong, But i may give your FIL the oppurtunity to plant that seed KWIM

as much as I cannot stand homophobia, I dont think you should put your child in a situation that could be uncomfy.

Since you are doing it just to stir the pot, I think you should leave it.

If your FIL says something, he could spoil the gift for your son.

I hadnt really considered that if he did have a negative reaction, how it would affect my DS. Not that his reaction would be extreme, he'd probably just say something to me, but yeah, my DS is too precious to risk it!

Hes still getting the pram though! And hes still taking his 'baby' - his teddy dressed in a pink onsie!

I order my boys ribbon sticks for other day from pinwheels and pearls.. the're absolutely GORGEOUS.. one is a superman one (blue stick, red satin ribbon) and one is a rainbow one (blue stick, rainbow ribbon) and I KNOW the boys will adore them..

I just haven't told DP yet.. because I know he's going to get all pouty and ask why I'm giving them 'girls toys'... as probably will the other men in my family. Poo to them.. I know 12 year old boys who LOVE ribbon sticks.. and in fact who love them so much pinched them from me when I was last teaching!
