I know exactly how you feel.

When my DP first went to the mines, I had to stay in Adelaide for 8 weeks while i finished a course. I felt so disconnected he was out at the pub, with his new work mates and I would talk and it would be like hmmm yeah so what did u do? just work. oh yeah.. hahaha it was so boring..

It was like i was single, it was horrible.

Now im here with him its so great! Hope you see him soon honey!! xx.

oh that must be hard been away for so long.

my DH does 2 weeks on 2weeks off. But over xmas its more like 2weeks on 1 week off.

there is no mobile reception out there and its a skype phone thing which is cr@p and you cant understand what he is saying so generally only speak to him if theres an emergency cause i cant be bothered having such a disconnected conversation.

6months is such a long time away. hope he is home soon for you

Hey, if you dont' like the phone conversation with the other , then just try to talk about some intersting topic which create some humor on your conversation, may be that gonna work , i have already gone through that once therefore telling you all this.
