    Hi Felicita,

This website has a good table for FSH and goodinfo ...

    http://www.advancedfertility.com/day3fsh.htm

My previous FS wouldn't start a cycle unless FSH was 10 or below with oestrogen below 150-200. As Higher oestrogen can supress FSH they need to look at them in combination. Ideally getting Oestrogen under 100 with FSH below 10 is what I have been told is good. I always wonder what my fertile friends FSH/E2 is??? would be interesting to know!!!! Have you been having your FSH tested? Good luck

Thank you very much for that link.

I think my clinic does FSH, E2 and progesterone on every BT including day 2, but honestly, I don't know for certain, I haven't asked in previous cycles. I started this journey so optimistic that there wasn't really any need to learn all that stuff since it was going to work first time (... second time? ....... third time??? ...... ...?). Needless to say it wasn't that easy, so now I'm learning as much as I can.

No worries Felicita, I agree - I wish my fertility knowledge was as limited as.... have sex around time of ovulation... like my fertile friends - life would be alot simpler without knowing about this IVF stuff. I find it helpful to understand whats going on - knowledge is power - helps me be prepared better for the disappointments along the way and hopefully eventuallyhelp get a BFP Good luck

Melrose, I am so very sorry. Unfortunately, I have been in your situation twice before to go to a scan only to find the pregnancy has not progressed. It is absolutely devastating but it does not mean you won't go on to have a healthy baby. The only advice I would offer you is don't make any decisions now. Talk to your FS, find out the next steps. Will you be having a D&C etc as this can sometimes give valuable info about what has gone wrong. Sending lots of hugs your way.

PinkB, thanks for your thoughts & suggestions hon *hugs* Im also not sure if BCP could effect results, I wouldn't have thought so, or if I can have day 2 FSH & E2 tested while doing long down reg, anyone know?? Anyway,I will definitely be asking Dr S those questions when I see him after Easter.

I am really hoping Pink that you get some good news from AMH results, you bloody deserve it and of course it is only an estimate of ovarian reserve it certainly doesn't predict the outcome. So many stories of successful women with low AMH. To soften the blow when FN called me she told me a patient if the clinic has just conceived naturally with an AMH of 1.7!!

As for 'other options' I know what you mean, those conversations are really hard but I have come to realise you never know what you'll do until confronted with the situation Xx

EO- Has AF turned up yet? Good to hear both you & DH are enjoying the time out from IVF. You should do something special with the money you've saved by skipping acu .

Starf1sh- same as I said to PinkB, there are alternate theories out there on egg development and not everyone places much stock in AMH test. At 32 my AMH is already below the magic number of 14 (I have 12.9). I too get scared that we left it too late, but I was only 26 when we started trying and definitely wasn't ready any sooner! Along with that patient your FN told you about, what about you! You also had a natural BFP with a declining AMH, so miracles can still happen and it could well be with your current cycle

Melrose- I can only imagine how painful your loss is . Bubhub is a great place for support, and nice to have you join our thread (although I wish it were under better circumstances). You don't have a signature block yet, so it would help to know a bit more about you. If you don't mind my asking, what brought you to IVF? How old are you and your DH? Have you tried any pre-IVF health kicks/natural therapies?

PinkB- I have found Sharkeys to be brilliant! They have consistently gone 'one better' than my FS in their approach to treating us and thanks to them I am on the right path with my endo and off to see a new FS. Although no BFP yet, we have noticeable results in DH's SA and in my temp charts. I used to O very late and had a short luteal phase. My cycle is much more balanced now. Good luck with your new AMH test, I hope the results are better than you're expecting.

Felicita- are you joining us or were you just picking PinkB's brains ?

Hi to everyone else and hope you're all having a fantastic Easter long weekend

AFM- I was bad and caved in, shared a couple of chocolate bunnies with DH and had some mini easter eggs . Really mad at myself but I guess I will hit the occaisonal hurdle on such a tight regime. I'll be good from now on though

    Hi ladies,

Hope you all had a lovely Easter break, I know I ate WAY too much chocolate, now I am trying not to tough any of it again until next year.

Felicita: Welcome to our thread, where are you up to on your journey at the moment?

Lindylou: How is your trip going? I had my appt with Sharkeys, and they are fabulous. Are you and your DH doing their IVF Program? It seems like a lot of stuff to be taking and its all got to be done as such specific times. We have to wait for the herbs (Garden Trio etc) to arrive but have been on the Nourishing Flora and Usana for about 3 weeks now. They want us to take them for three months before our next cycle so I am thinking I may even push our next cycle back another month so we get the full 3 months on the program to give it our best shot. I too found it so hard to not eat chocolate this time. I figure it can’t hurt that much, its not like we do it all the time.

Starfish: Oh hon, so sorry to hear your news. It sucks so much that we make such drastic changes within ourselves to improve our chances and then only to be told its worse off later. I felt the same way after 8 months of acupuncture and eating perfectly, regular exercise and no alcohol on our recent stim cycle which was our worst cycle yet. I hope you enjoyed your vino and chocolate over the weekend, surprising how easy it is for two things can make us feel better. I hope your FS is able to shed some more light around your results and give you a plan for your next cycle.

Melrose: So sorry to read your news hon. I have been in the same position and its devastating. My biggest fear in all of this so far has been the Donor option. It’s a conversation DH and I have not ever spoken of and we are both willing to keep doing everything we can using our own DNA first. What is the reason you are doing IVF?

PinkB: I have heard a lot of good things about Dr Sher too, he is so open with sharing his knowledge on his forums as well which is amazing. I am sure all of us IVF’ers all refer to the same websites out their, I spend ¾ of my life googling IVF related topics. We took advantage of the beach on Friday, the weather was awesome and surprisingly the water was so warm. Have you thought about what your next cycle yet or having a small break?

Hi to Quartz, Mrs Daisy, Nat, Traveler, Kellebelle, LifeonHold, & Crofty

AFM: Well AF is still deciding whether to show up yet, I started spotting this morning, but will probably get her in full force tomorrow then its off for CD1 BT and then start tracking Ovulation from Day 10 to do my biopsy. I am quite enjoying the break from IVF at the moment but am finding it difficult to not drink and do all the good things I am supposed to be doing like eating right and exercising. DH is exactly the same, at least we are both taking all our vitamins and supps. P.S The vits we are on at the moment are horrible, i think it must be the high mineral content but i gag everytime i take them. DH thinks its great watching moe of a morning trying to swallow them.

Hi ladies. Hope you dont mind me joining your thread. I always read this thread. BH is such a great outlet for me. I don't know anyone close to me that has done ivf.
I'm currently at westmead and am on day7 of short cycle. Injecting gonal f and cetrotide. Have my scan on Friday and possibly EPU next week.
Just wanted to wish all the ladies my best wishes.

Currently waiting for AF so I can start 5th round of stims - but I only count it as 4th IVF attempt since first round was cancelled when no sperm were located on microdissection so my eggs were collected and frozen for the next round.
I was expecting AF to arrive 4 weeks and 12 days after my last egg collection, but no, not this time. I guess this time it's decided to pay attention to when my BFN AF started and is going 4 weeks after that. Why it should start behaving like it's supposed to all of a sudden is beyond me. Shouldn't be long to wait.

We started our IVF journey thinking we just had a sperm delivery problem resulting from DHs quadriplegia, so azoospermia after the FS's reassurances of "we'll certainly find something" was a bit of a shock.

We're currently working our way through 5 vials of related-donor sperm. Have two vials left, but the quality is so bad that if I get a good egg collection they might both get thawed this time round. Really hoping for lots of eggs because if it's not going to work with this donor I want it over and done with quickly.

Although it took a while for us to grow into the idea, we are now mentally ready to use anonymous donor, so we won't be asking the related-donor to go through another surgical extraction for us - but that it will work on this cycle. We've made it to the top of our clinic's anonymous donor list, and our application has been placed on hold at the top of the list until we've finished with the known donor samples.

Trying to do everything from my side to boost emby's chances, so FS put me on DHEA saying it won't hurt and might help, also NK tests (blood and biopsy) in January came back yes-no-maybe-yes so I do prednisolone and clexane on my cycles now. I'm trying out an acupuncturist near my home with some weekly sessions.
