Eternal Optimist – good luck for transfer today. Sending you loads of sticky vibes.

Bee – so sorry to hear about your BFN. Take care

Nat – glad all going along nicely for you

Lindylou – glad all well with you. I agree its harder to hear about natural BFP’s than IVF ones. Do you have plans to cycle again soon?

Starfish – hope ur well and have some lovely things planned for yourself

Hi to Traveler, Daisy, Quartz, 25andhopeful & anyone else i have missed!

AFM – have been hectic with non IVF stuff which is always good – DD started pre-school and we were looking at selling our unit and buying a house – but that idea is canned for now! Thinking about starting a cycle in 3 weeks – feeling daunted at the thought of it but have had a great break!

EO how did you go this morning?

PinkB- do you have to do a full stim or do you have some frostys? Glad you had a break from it all, but it's good to know you are moving forward too. I know what you mean by daunting, especially already having a DD. I find it really hard to get to daily BTs and transfer with my DS. Have you got people to help out?

lindy - I'm so sorry you are finding it hard, and friends just don't help, even when they are trying to be nice, or not trying to be anything, they are still upsetting. I'll never forget the day I got a call from FS to say that only one of my ten eggs fertilised and they were transferring it the next day but it didn't look very good. Thoughts like "I'll never have a baby, just waisted all that money for nothing, can't believe I will have to go through another stim so soon" etc were racing through my head. I called the one and only person who knew about my IVF to tell her. She then spent 15 minutes describing her daughters tantrum the night before, how hard it is to bring up children and then said to me "at least you know you’re not the only one going through a hard time." (!!!!!!) I'm sorry, but you NEVER complain about your children with someone who is DESPERATE to have one! And you can’t compare lives with someone going through IVF!

AFM - this is going to sound totally stupid, but I really need to share it with someone. With my last AF I had the worst period pain I have ever had. I thought my kidneys were failing or something similar (it was during the heat wave). Two weeks later (last Friday) I think I felt ovulation for the first time ever. I had the same cramping as AF but knew AF wasn't due for another two weeks (that's when it clicked that it could be ovulation). Anyway, today is five days past ovulation, and my feet are aching. This is going to sound weird, but I always get aching feet just before AF. I'm not a huge believer in reflexology, but it is strange that every month my feet ache in exactly the same area. So now I am half wondering whether I could actually have a natural miracle. I know it is HIGHLY unlikely, and I am probably getting my hopes up for nothing. But what if the really bad AF pain means that anything that could be wrong with me is fixed.

Sorry for the ranting and raving. I do know I sound insane, but I had to get it out.

    Hello everyone!!

EO how did you go today??

Sorry ladies, no personals from me today cause I'm on my phone.

Just wanted to tell you that I'm still pregnant!! Had another BT yesterday, my HCG jumped to 4624, and my prog is 121! I thought the prog sounded really high?! But I'm on pessaries, so that could be why.
I went to the GP and demanded a request form for an earlier u/S, as ive had some pain down my right side. I just want to see that the sac is in the right place. I actually had to argue with the Dr to give it to me. Anyway I booked it in for this Monday, just a week before my proper 7 week scan.

So all looks good so far :-)

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies, I think it definitely helped me out at our ET yesterday .

Lindylou: Thanks darl, DH was even saying that to my tummy last night before we went to bed. So bizarre cause before the transfer he said he wasn’t going to get personal about it this time until we knew for sure I was UTD and then wouldn’t truly be happy for us until after the 12 week scan and then last niht he was all gag a with my belly. Wow must be kinda nice to travel for work sometimes, I find doing the same old routine each day a little tiring. Do you get to see much of the places you go to or is it all too busy with work?

Beebeedee: Oh honey I am so sorry to hear your news . I was soooo hoping this was gonna give you your BFP. Its great that you are able to do another stim cycle straight away. I think having a plan can sometimes make this journey less painful. I hope your appointment on Thursday can give you some more clarity around whats happening and how they can change things to improve your chances next time.

Traveler: Thanks honey, DH also said the same thing. I feel positive about this cycle now, but then again lets wait and see what my posts will be like in another few days when I start to get sucked into the whole TWW nightmare. I totally would believe that the heavy AF could have been a sign of your body having a big clean out. Did you take advantage of the ovulation and DTD? Either way it’s a great sign for when you do your next cycle that your kinda starting fresh down there .

Nat: Awesome news on your BT honey , you must be soo relieved with those numbers. I too would be pushing for an early US, it just gives you a bit more reassurance to see something there. I think it is too early to see a HB though, but if you just want to see the sac in the right place then go for it. How are you feeling generally? Any MS etc?

Pinkbutterfly: Wow how was DD first day at pre-school? I hope she liked it, more so where you OK with her going or was there a few tears?? It must be good to be doing another cycle? I find when I have a plan it’s a lot easier for me to be happy and not be so upset with other friends pg announcements. Are you doing a stim cycle? Long or short?

Hi Starfish and Quartz, how are you guys going with your next cycle?

AFM: Well had our transfer yesterday, our last little frosty thawed perfectly, I was soooooo happy and relieved. It was 100% which is awesome as our last FET our emby lost 10% of its cells on thaw. The embryologist said they couldn’t of asked for a better looking emby after thaw, it had also fully expanded before they put it back in. I was on one pessary a day before transfer but my levels are low so now I have to add an extra one in there – yuck. Now just gotta get through the next 10 days, my BT is Friday 25th.

    everyone!

Just wondering if I can join this thread? I had been referred to Sydney IVF by my gyne back in December 2010 and had my 1st appointment a few weeks ago with Dr. Lighten. He said the best (and least expensive) option for us would be to go directly with IVF but before we take that step he wants me to lose 8kg, explaining that even a small amount of weight loss can increase the chances of a successful IVF cycle by 50%. So he's got me on the "fitness for fertility" program for the next 12wks...so fingers crossed it works!!

Has anyone gone thru this program before/going thru it currently? Also, what was your experience like dealing with Sydney IVF?

Anyways, looking forward to getting to know all of you!! Lots of and to all!!

Eternal optimist – how wonderful, sounds like a top embryo, glad all went well with your FET. Sending sticky vibes. Yes DD has loved pre-school, we are amazed – Mummy had a few tears after saying goodbye it was quite emotional!

Traveler – I hope it is a natural miracle – it does happen. In 5 stim cycles TTC no.2 we have had no frosties – makes it v.hard work! Yes it is hard to get BT’s and u/s done at times with DD – although when I started IVF again she was less than 2 and hard to get her to sit still, now I must say she is pretty well behaved now she is 3– I take snacks and she has her favourite toys/books at the clinic (sad but true!). I take DH sometimes for the ultrasounds as they can be long. I could ask for help but I don’t always like telling everyone what we are up to. Do you have help with DS for your appts?

Quartz – yep totally agree – even a small break from IVF is so good! We were up in Seal Rocks last week - so relaxing!

Nat – great news about your levels. Good luck for your scan!

MummyMoo – welcome and goodluck. I have heard nothing but good things about Sydney IVF.

    Hi to all

    Hi Ladies,

Thought it was time to update the roll call. 25andHopeful and Bee, I hope you don't mind that I moved you from the TWW.

EO- wow your embie sounds like a little superstar !! I have such high hopes this is your lucky cycle! Sometimes I get to sight-see on weekends when I'm overseas and I love it. For the most part though, the travelling is tiring and everyday is crammed with work. But I can't complain, I have a great job!

MummyMoo- Hi & Welcome! I haven't been through the program you mention, but it sounds like a great way to prepare yourself. Good luck with your weight loss. I've also heard that SIVF are the best, so you're sure to be in good hands there.

Traveler- it would be fantastic if your body has O'd on its own and you can make a little miracle! Hope the rest of your natural TWW goes quickly & has a BIG surprise for you at the end.

PinkB- glad your DD is loving pre-school, hopefully its gotten easier to let her go after the first time. When I was in high school my youngest brother went to the pre-school next door and I hated seeing him behind the fence, always wanted to be there with him. He of course loved it and big sis would've cramped his style! Cycling again in 3 weeks, wow! Thats awesome . We are on hold til June. Soooo far away its driving me insane! Maybe next cycle we'll freeze extra sperm so we don't have to wait for DH to detox in future.

Nat- good luck for your scan on Mon, hope bubba ticks all the boxes!

Hi to Quartz & Starf1sh . Hope you are both well and have something fun to do this weekend.

AFM- I had a thyroid U/S yesterday and the sonographer told me there's definitely an abnormality there. Going back to my GP next Friday to get the proper diagnosis. Feels like I'm finally getting somewhere!! I'll be off-line next week while I'm in NZ, catch up with you when I get back on Fri.
