    There fellow Sydney ladies.

We are with SIVF in the city.

Lindylou: Darl this is such a fantastic idea for this thread, i have always wondered why Sydney didn’t have its own but everyone else does. I too find it really hard to stay away from BH, its the only place where others know and understand the feelings we have. DH tried to get me to go a week without this week as he thinks i am on here too much, but that only lasted two days . With such a great day today DH should be able to get that lawn mowed now .

Quartz: Congrats on your BFP honey, such fantastic news .

Starfish1: Great idea to make use of this beautiful summers day, hoping its like this again tomorrow as i would like to go for a sunbake and swim.

Charliechops: Welcome to the world of IVF. Its not an easy journey but with the support of all the lovely ladies on Bub Hub its made a lot easier .

Catfroggy: Sorry to hear about your BFN in November, Enjoy the time off between your next cycle darl .

AFM: I am just in the process of waiting for AF to arrive after a really horrible past three months. Long story short, struck it lucky with our first ICSI and got BFP in August (DH has sever MFI - he has an obstruction in his testes so we need to use testicle aspiration to get his sperm out to meet with my eggs), we then had a missed MC at 8 weeks (went for scan and no HB) and then 5 weeks after the D&C had a natural miscarriage which resulted in me spending a week in hospital with a severe uterus infection as FS didn’t remove enough of the “Product” at the time of the D&C. We are desperately hoping AF arrives soon as i would love to get a FET done whilst on Christmas holidays. My boss has given me the most horrid time at work since i started IVF back in April so will really struggle to try and get time off if i have to do the transfer when work goes back.

Hi starfish - sorry I do not quite know the specifics as well as you. 18 months ago when I first started seeing my FS he did general blood screen and told me I had elevated thyroid antibodies and put me on 50mg of Oroxine. When I had a full blood screen done again in Sept I saw that last year my level had been 344 and this year 46. Sorry I am not sure which one it was. I continue to take Oroxine and he said probably until week 9 of my pregnancy. Sorry I couldn't be more help!!

    Hi Lindylou
Thanks for starting this thread. I would like to join too. All you ladies already on this thread, a big hello to you. I remember some of you from the November thread.

I have had 6 failed ivfs and am with IVFA (westmead). All of these cycles were fresh cycles...no frosties for me. I am on a break at the moment from ivf as it has taken a toll on me. Don't know until when I will be on this break. I am meeting with my fs soon and want to discuss the possibility of going on dhea as I am a low responder.

I too have thyroid issues. I had elevated TSH and I think lower T4 and was diagnosed 2 years ago. I am on regular medication (oroxine, as someone mentioned earlier in this forum) and will have to continue on this forever. I dont mind though as I feel so much better on this.

I am one of those people who has lost faith in the process of IVF. I dont feel it is going to work for me esp after 6 failed attempts, 4 of them being 2 embryo transfers. Despite having little faith in this process, I will continue as this seems to be the only choice I have. I want this too much to stop.

For all of you, good luck at whatever stage of this journey you are on. I love talking to you all!

    Hi girls

Sorry for butting in but i had to reply to Lifeonhold...

I am a graduate for sure....2 little boys, so it does happen and i to am like lifeonehold...never got any frosties so a full cycle for me every time (8) to be exact.

Life - I was with IVFA westmead....i saw Proff Peter Illingworth - who i think is the absolute master of IVF...can i ask who you are with?

I wish you girls all the luck in the world. IVF is about patience and waiting which is the pits but i can promise you there is light at the end of the tunnel...you just have to keep going and believe it will happen, because it WILL

Starfish – Hello my friend! hope ur out enjoying this glorious day

Lindylou – yes a trooper or seriously crazy!!! Yes, our DD is an IVF miracle – we were one of those amazingly lucky people to get her BFP first cycle, first transfer – TTC no. 2 is proving a different story though. I hope you have a great break, enjoy some xmas cheer before detoxing! Second opinions are always worthwhile – we just changed FS and our new FS has completely opposite opinions on certain issues.

Eternal Optimist – wow you’ve had a rough time. Great you might be able to fit a FET in before the end of the year.

    Catfroggy & Charliechops – bring on some 2011 BFP’s!

Quartz – congrats on your BFP – hope you are doing well!

Nat – not long til Jan 4th now! Out of interest, what treatment does your FS recommend for MTHFR ?

Lifeonhold – sending hugs. It is such a hard slog with no frosties each cycle, i can empathise there as we are in the same boat. Does your FS give a reason for your difficulties? I started DHEA 2.5 months ago now and upped CoQ10 to try and help improve egg quality. From all the DHEA success stories its definitely worth a try – we feel we have got nothing to lose. I hope you have a really good break and success in 2011.

How lovely is this weather – summer is finally here!
We found out today our only chance of a frostie in 5 stim cycles made it to blastie but can’t be frozen – so disappointed – it has been a stressful wait.

Pink butterfly - he just recommends a higher than normal dose of folic acid. Most ppl are told to have 5micrograms, but I have tablets with 5 milligrams. Also told me baby aspirin, but my current FS told me to stop taking that.

    hi

lifeonhold, i too like amum never ever got any frosties, its doubly hard when u have to do a full stim each time, it really takes it toll on your body and mind (and finances) doing cycle after cycle . i did 3 attempted cycles with IVFA then changed clinics ( i didnt like my FS), after that i did 5 cycles and only ever had 2 embies max to xfer, sometimes only one...on my 8th cycle after being on dhea, last september i got a sticky BFP....it CAN happen , wish u all the best.
