    - I wish I could have BTs every second day. Once a week doesn't sound like enough! I'll be going to an outside pathology. Now that my cycle is done, I'll just be seeing my FS. He's given me a heap of request forms for DHM pathology. Which means I won't need any more time off work. Yep, I've got extra prog support too. They put me on 1 pessary a day. Normally after the Crinone finishes, thats it. But I was adamant that I needed something more! I bet you're looking forward to your holiday! Hope the next few weeks fly by so you can get back into it!

    Hi Girls,
Wow, its been busy in here! I’ve been out “in the field” for work and just back to the office today.
EO- only a few more days and you’ll be PUPO again, how exciting! I laughed when I read about your night on the booze, it really does hit you hard when you’ve not had it for ages. I’ve been whinging about the cold too, stupid weather!!
Bee- Only 4 days til your BT! Hope you’re hanging in there and the TWW has been kind to you. I really hope its your turn this cycle and you get a whopping BFP on Valentine’s Day . Just to put my 2c in on the lining thickness issue- my FS likes it to be 9mm or more. BUT I have heard of other FS who say its irrelevant, because embryos can implant in the fallopian tubes and there’s bugger all lining there!
PinkB- Hope you’re having fun on the sidelines, any ideas when you’ll cycle again?
Nat- Yay for doubling your levels!! Hope they continue to skyrocket at each BT. Love your sig update!
Traveler- I have a friend who’s due any day now... so I’ll be having the clucky newborn cuddles soon myself. The monthly let down is horrible when TTC naturally. I’m glad we’ve given up on it totally and I don’t get upset anymore when AF shows. It took all the fun out of DTD as well, so clinical and mechanical. Now we can just do it for fun again !
Quartz- Gearing up for another cycle and being back at work would keep you busy! Hope AF shows up soon for you
Starf1sh- Taking time out for socialising & getting away sounds lovely. Just the thing to keep you occupied til April! Its been a struggle to remember to take the ‘poo water’, so its been hit & miss to start with. Taste is worse than I remembered... its like they’ve boiled poo AND garbage, strained it and put it into bottles!
    Hi to anyone I’ve missed
AFM- well I finally got around to seeing my GP and getting referral to an endocrinologist. He also gave me a form to get an ultrasound of my thyroid to take along to the specialist. My GP was very supportive and agreed that my high TPO antibodies (>1000, should be <40) do warrant further investigation. He seemed surprised that my FS dismissed it as ‘OK’. Will be interesting to see what comes of it!

Nat84: Glad to hear your taking it easy babe, make sure DP spoils you in the TWW with lots of foot rubs and cooking dinner seems as though you have to work in a factory all day. (Does it have air con?) Wow 28th Feb, it sounds like a long time away but I reckon it is gonna go really quickly. When is your next BT?

Starfish: Glad to hear you are enjoying yourself before your next cycle hon . It took me 6 weeks to get my AF after our MC and D&C, so hopefully you don’t have to wait too long. Awesome idea about enjoying your DINK, weekends away are gonna be a scarce thing once a bub comes along in the future. I used the time waiting for my AF to get back on track with DH, I found IVF totally consumes me and I feel so distant from him when I am doing a cycle so I always make a huge effort in between to show him some TLC.

Lindylou: Yeah I know, totally caved in on our detox and no alcohol rule. I don’t think we even lasted a week . But we both made a promise that the weekend was the absolute last time and its now back to business. So what’s up with your FS dismissing the high TPO? Totally agree about getting a second opinion and investigating it further. I think sometimes the FS get so wound up with it all and loose sight of how personal and emotional this all is to us and we each need to be considered on an individual basis, not just another number on a page.

Bee: I have been stalking, sorry I mean following you in the Feb TWW thread to see how you are going. Not long now darl .

25andhopeful: How are you going darl?

AFM: I had my BT and US today and lining was up to 8mm wich is great as it shows its getting thicker and ………….. I Ovulated today , woo hoo so my transfer is next Tuesday. I have arranged to have the rest of that week off work just to be at home and relax. I know it’s not necessary but what the hell I have leave there so might as well use it. Just hope my little frostie thaws OK.

    Hi All,

Hope you had a great weekend & happy Valentine's Day!

Bee- Good luck for BT today , hope to hear great news when the results come back!!

EO- Sending loads of babydust to your frostie, hope he/she thaws perfectly for FET tomorrow . My FS believes that my high TPO is not an issue because I have normal TSH, T3 & T4. TSH is thyroid stimulating hormone (released by the brain) and T3 & T4 are the actual hormones made by the thyroid. I can see her logic, but its just never sat right with me that such high antibodies are irrelevant when Sharkeys and other sources on the net are telling me otherwise. Hopefully a proper thyroid expert can set the story straight!

Nat- when's your next BT? Hope all is well with bub and your pregnancy will be smooth sailing the whole way though!

AFM- We had a party at our place Sat night that went til 3am, was the most fun I've had in ages! One of our friends was telling me her 33yo daughter is expecting twins with her female partner, who is 42. They did IVF using donor sperm and the 42yo's own eggs, and were UTD with twins 1st go. Lucky huh? Can't wait for the day stories like that aren't an instant knife to the heart....

Got a busy week at work because I'll be off on my next O/S trip this coming Sunday. My head swims when I think of all the stuff I want to finish off before Friday arrrrrgh!

Lindylou: Thanks darl, I am starting to get a little nervous about it all now. I am keeping in the back of my mind though that I will do a back to back stim cycle next month if this one doesn’t work so that way I don’t have a total breakdown. Great idea about the second opinion, as much as your FS says its OK, it does get unnerving when you read so much other conflicting information out there. At the least, it will give you some reassurance to speak to another specialist about it all. We also had news last week that a lady I work with is 18 weeks pg with her first IVF attempt and she is 43!!!!! OMG as happy as i am for here that she doesn’t have to go through all of this, I keep asking myself WHY NOT ME? I am so much younger than that it doesn’t seem to want to work for me. Those stories are heart wrenching. Enjoy your last week at work and then more importantly – enjoy your holiday. Where are you going?

Hi to all the Sydney girls out there – its been quiet in here lately.

AFM: I am having my ET at 8.30am tomorrow (Providing my last little frostie thaws OK). Feeling a little anxious about this one, but at the same time I know if it doesn’t work I will be jumping straight into a Stim cycle as soon as AF arrives. Started Pessaries on Saturday night – I hate those things. They make me soooo moody and irritable towards the end.

EO- my O/S trip isn't a holiday (I wish!), I travel regularly for my job. On average, I spend 8 weeks a year overseas and interstate. This time I'm off to NZ and its a very short & sweet 5 day trip . Much easier than my last which was 3 weeks in Japan.

Its bad enough when people start TTC naturally after you and get UTD before you, but its a whole new level being 'left behind' by people who started IVF after you too... I have to say though, I deal much better hearing of IVF success stories than natural BFPs. Especially over-40 IVF success stories, because it keeps the hope alive that I still have time up my sleeve.

Hoping it will be 3rd time lucky for you and you won't need the stim cycle next month

Hi Ladies, I've been a bit all over the place and if some of you (EO) have been reading the 2ww thread you will have seen my news - BFN I'm afraid. I did a HPT (I caved in) on Friday which was neg, then I get AF yesterday. I had the blood test but told the nurse I suspected it was neg as I had my AF. I asked about starting again as I didn't get any frosties I'd have to do another full stim. She said as long as there were no pregnancy hormones then she didn't see any reason why not. so after a few phones calls back and forth to the clinic, I have an appt on Thursday to see our FS and he looks like he'll put us on a long drawn down cycle known as an Agonist. I did this the first time around - the one with the Synarel nasal spray. I'm not sure if I'm going to like this cycle as I did really struggle with it all the first time around. So now I'm waiting for day 23 of my cycle to start that which means I don't do anything until the 7 March. So I will be having a break after all. And I just wanted to get going again. It seems if I have a break as in right now until my March AF and start a short cycle (antagonist) then I could be UTD one week earlier than doing an agonist cycle. I'm waffling. I think with a few days up my sleeve and some clarity I will ask all the right questions and will know what I'm doing either way by Thursday night.
    Sorry for the me post.

EO- thinking of you tomorrow. I really hate it when people say this but I'm going to say it anyway: I have a really good feeling about your FET.

Beebeedee- I'm so sad that it was a bfn for you try and enjoy the little drug free break

Lindy- nope it never gets easier hearing pregnancy news, & I have to agree with others, while I'm happy for people with ivf success, I get so jealous and a little judgmental (did they rush into ivf too quickly? Etc) hope NZ is good even though it's work.

    Nat- how is bubs?

    Hi everyone else!

Oh Bee, very sorry it was a BFN . I hope your FS has some tricks up his sleeve for the next stim cycle, whether it be down reg or antagonist.

EO- Good luck today! Frostybub: be good for your Mum & Dad now, they are so ready to welcome you in Nov

Traveler- its not just the preg news, right now I have a friend IRL whinging that its going to cost her $200 for a paed appt for her newborn. Ha! I feel like saying you conceived the child for FREE (and very quickly too), be happy that $200 is being spent on something tangible!! But of course, could never say such a thing... lucky I have you ladies to vent to.

Hi to Starf1sh, PinkB, Nat, Quartz and everyone else .
