Lindy - Bugger that you can't start your cycle straight away... Who do they think they are taking holidays LOL!!!! Did they say when you could start?

Traveler - Great news on the hatching blasty. How is the TWW going for you do far???

Hi to all the other Sydney gals!

AFM - only 4 more sleeps till BT time, and so far have managed to avoid the evil pee sticks!! Have had some mild cramping today.... Really hoping its not the b#*%h AF showing her ugly head!!!

    Hi there lovely ladies,

Danielle: thanks for dropping in and wishing us luck. Its great so see some IVF success and for you to be blessed with three ICSI girls is fabulous news.
Quartz: Yay only 3 more sleeps; you have done so well to stay away from the evil HPT’s. I think i will only do one the night before my BT to prepare me so i don’t get the call while at work. Hoping the little cramps are just your little superstar making itself comfy for the long haul. Stay away AF, you are not welcome!!!

Bebe: Oh hon big hugs, its disappointing when we have a certain number in our head and things don’t go the way we had hoped. I too only had half a trigger shot on my last stim cycle as i got OHSS really bad before i even had my EPU. Out of 42 follicles we got 25 eggs and 5 were immature. My FS always tells me that less eggs is better as it means they are better quality. I too love being awake for the EPU, seeing them counted and DH speaking to the FS is great. Stay positive for your little embryos hon, Genea have fantastic facilities and will be taking good care of your lil one until Saturday when its ready to be returned to its home for the next 9 months.

    Crofty:
Thanks honey, how are you going with your cycle? Are you tracking for natural O now? Your transfer should be pretty close by now form memory.

    Lindylou
: WTF a delay? I thought the idea at the clinic was to be open 365 days a year and you can cycle at any time. So will that push everything back a whole month or will Dr R get you on the BCP so you can time it for as soon as the scientist are back? I am so disappointed that this has happened hon, the only positive thing though is you have a little more time for your potions to be working there magic.

    Traveler
: OMG so you are PUPO with twins? Thats awesome news and the perfect quality blast is amazing. Did you take any time off from work after your transfer? Hope the TWW goes quickly for you hon, will you POAS?

    Lola:
Sorry not sure why Dr B starts cycles on Fridays, i have never heard of that before, i am assuming it would be to try and schedule EPU and ET for certain days. How is the jabbing going? When is EPU?

    Claire:
How did your US go hon?
Hi to all the other Sydney Girls i have missed.

    AFM:
Well i am PUPO with a perfect expanded Grade 1 blast – my first one EVER. Normally they are Grade 2 or 3 and have some fragmentation. My lil one survived the thaw 100% so i am very happy. I was supposed to have my ET at 8.30am but the clinic was really busy and they were running a little late so didn’t end up doing it until about 9.30am, OMG my bladder felt like it was going to explode for having to hold it for that extra hour. I also had my pre and post acu sessions – very relaxing. I also had to increase my prog pessaries as my levels were a little low so now i am on 3 per day, big difference to the 1 i am used to doing, hoping this doesn’t send me too crazy in the TWW.

In other exciting IVF news, my FS told me yesterday that there are now new pessaries that come in capsules so you don’t need to lay down for an hour afterwards and they don’t cause all any that messy waxy stuff . I will be buying some of these once my old stash runs out. They sell them at the Macquarie street and Pitt street pharmacies if you are interested, not sure if you can get them other places yet.

EO- I was going nuts waiting for your update! WOO-HOO and congrats on your awesome blastie It couldn't have turned out more perfectly for you! Hold on tight little one , your Mum & Dad and all your virtual aunties are counting on you . I am quite peeved at the delay for me to get started. Will update below.

Danielle- Thanks for popping in and congrats on your DD's!

Quartz- well done for resisting the urge to POAS! Getting so close now! I can start with my Jan AF, but its due late in the month, so EPU would actually be in Feb.

Bebe- I had 6 eggs collected and only 3 fert on my first cycle with Genea, so I was terrified there'd be none to transfer. At my old clinic we had 7 eggs and 100% fert and it was so disappointing not to match or better that with Genea, so I know how you feel. However, all 3 of our embies made it, we had one transferred fresh and used the other 2 in a FET cycle. So don't give up hope! Those 5 embies could easily give you a bub now and a few for later . Yes it totally sucks that I won't be starting when I'd planned... but we will at least have the consult done in Dec.

Traveler- plan is to bug the clinic for an option that lets me start in Dec as I'd hoped, or at least right at the beginning of Jan! Hope you're keeping the TWW crazies at bay so far.

Claire- don't keep us in suspense too long! Hope all went well for your scan yesterday.

AFM- I've sent an email to the PGD coordinator to ask if the timing restrictions for PGD testing affects the City clinic too (sometimes services that stop at the smaller clinics during hols are still done in the City). If not, then I'll happily go into town for EPU. If its still a no-go (like if they're using a contract lab thats totally shut), I've asked about going on the pill to delay my Dec AF. I don't want to wait until my natural AF in late Jan. Genea does day 5 embryo biopsy so the blasties are frozen while we wait for results. I'm overseas for work in Feb/Mar, so I wouldn't be able to do FET until April. If I have to wait that long, shoot me now!!

Lindylou - Sounds like you have an alternate option... yippee. Us chicks are always thinking of ways to get want we want aren't we, especially when it comes to things IVF, AND avoiding waiting till April!!

We just moved to Genea Norwest from Next Gen Parra. What about you?
Good on you for staying away from the devil sticks!! that cramping is implantation and stretching and the witch AF stays away for the next 9 months [or more if you're lucky]

Traveler - my new Dr. said he will just update me on Thursday and then Sat for ET. I have to say it was a much less stress free day not worry about that call and or what might change for tomorrow. Gosh I hope my 5 are still kicking back in the test tube!
NO update from you today? No news is good news I'll assume. xx

Dannielle - Thanks for sharing your success. We all hope to be graduates soon with you!

EternalOptimist - Thanks for sharing your story, you're right they are being looked after. I think yesterday was a bad day. Today I am feeling much better!
WOW a perfect expanded Grade 1, and for it to be the 1st time. Biggest congrats, you've certainly got something amazing to start – and I do hope it ends in 38 weeks time with a bouncing bub. I would have for sure pee'd my pants, so good on you for holding it!

AFM - I started my 2 pessaries per day....eeeeeeeeeek. Strangely my new nurse told me that I don't need to lay around with these ones, but they are the same I used last time. So I laid for 1/2 an hour anyway this morning. I was too scared that it would all drip out....ohh that reminds me...best remember to do tonight's one...

    to everyone else.

So I caved and did a HPT this morning because tomorrow when I have my BT us actually my staff Xmas party and I wanted to prepare myself for bad news. As predicted it was a BFN - I have just felt too good this cycle, no symptoms whatsoever. Our best emby yet = our worst cycle yet!! Just can't figure that out!

Sorry to hear Quarts. Nothing else I can think of except, maybe the BT tomorrow will bring a different result - and the HPT just never showed it. I do hope you enjoy your Xmas party and take care of yourself this weekend.

    xx
