My positive thing for the week. When I spontaneously decide to drive the long way home, turning a 6 km trip into a 300 km trip via Gosford, my sister is there to give me a sought after hug.

Thanks for the best wishes but I don't think they'll come to anything. I expect the clinic to confirm BFN when they phone this afternoon. My progesterone (and mood) dropped ready for AF on Wed and Thurs last week, hence the need to take the long way home, and I started very light spotting on Friday (14dpo). It's only the crinone keeping AF away.

I'm guessing my next and final cycle will be in January. I see my FS on Thursday morning to find out what next.
After the next cycle the clinic will tell us to stop wasting their sperm and to let someone more fertile have a go. If we want to we can go back onto the waiting list, but my FS says that after we fail 8 stim cycles we should abandon my eggs too so there's no point trying to get some more anonymous sperm. So with no eggs and no sperm we might need to create an IVF Failures section on the roll call.
It's soooo frustrating believing it's not going to work but having to prolong the grieving for months while we do these last cycles so that when we stop we can know that we gave it our best shot and have no regrets.

Agh Felicita, this IVF thing really sucks most of the time.
I still hope it works out somehow for you this cycle. You never know...
I know you have tried almost everything, can you maybe do something different? Different FS???

Sydney Girls having TCM ... DH attended a lecture as part of the new Genea Holistic regarding TCM. It seems the main reason that Genea offers TCM and alternative treatments from now on is that they can control what people are taking. There seems to be mounting evidence that some TCM stuff is counterproductive during IVF treatment and may lessen the chances of successful pregnancy.
Just thought I let you know, since I know some of you are taking them.
They are encouraging Acupuncture and relaxation etc., and will be offering TCM as well as other natural remedies that are proven not to interfere with treatment

    Hi girls.

Sorry I have not been on here for so long, I have beenreading everything that is happening,

I am so sorry to the recent BFN’s. I have been so sad foryou all, and for our Sydney thread. Is it the Sydney air that is causing ourinfertility? Lindylou, I’m glad DH is so keen to get back on the horse. You areso lucky he is so encouraging and willing to take the herbs!!

Quartz I’m so sorry that you had your hopes raised with a chem..Are you having more tests to see why this is happening to you?

Felicita, I know that you are very in-tune with your body, but I really hope that you are wrong this time. You go to Westmead clinic ofIVFA don’t you, and you had your bt this morning?....I was there this morning.....

Paddlegirl and Claire- how are our twwers going? Have youpaved and POASed yet?

TTHC – exciting that you are cycling again soon! Yep,onwards and upwards

EO – I bet this last bit of the wait before cycling iskilling you. How are you coping?

Crofty – are you getting ready for you FET? That must bereally soon too

Lola – how are you holding up this week? I’m sorry thingshave been so bad for you lately.

Hi to all our beautiful ladies

AFM – I officially start tonight. Sniffing at 8pm! I wasgetting really really excited, until I remembered the reality of sniffing...themenopause. Then started freaking out about the whole thing not working. I went for my BT today to check that Iovulated, and I had a nurse I haven’t seen before. She was flicking through myfile and said “gee you have a thick file, you have done a lot of cycles!” Shewasn’t being mean or anything but it made me sad.

My positive thing for the day – KFC chips with extra chickensalt!!! I know it sounds crazy, but I have been on a health kick lately, andtoday DS and I had a hot chip treat....gee they were good!!!

Sticky11 - We had input from pretty much every IVFA specialist for this cycle, plus some hangers-on OBGYNs who aren't yet fertility specialists. We had our FS present our case at their monthly conference in August. I posted the highlights of that meeting in this thread a while back, probably in the first two weeks of September.
Genea doesn't do anonymous sperm and we don't have another known donor lying around so no point going there.

traveler - My BT was a little after 9 am. The waiting room was empty, and while I was waiting one person left after having blood taken. I didn't pay attention to who was there when I came out.

    Hi ladies,

Quartz - so sorry it was a chem. hope you're doing ok.

Felicita- did BT confirm your suspicions or were you pleasantly surprised?

Paddlegirl and Claire - how is the 2ww treating you both?

    Hi everyone else

Afm- FS is sending me for thrombophilia screening and both dh & I for chromosome tests. Hope to find the reason for repeated implantation failure. Will prob sit the rest of the year out while we regroup and wait on test results.

    Have a great week

I am sorry Felicita, I wish I could help. I don't know about Geneas Donorsperm Policy. They are looking for donors but I think it's only for research then.
I guess your BT came up BFN, so sorry. Just hope that your last cycle will give you your little miracle.
