    Hi everyone!
Sorry for my continuing slack participation. Life just seems a bit overwhelming at the moment and I'm just struggling to get through the day without getting upset.
My FS finally got back from his overseas conference and we had a phone de-brief on my disastrous cycle. A lot of it is a blur , partly because I was in the middle of cooking DS' dinner, needed to get to physio, and then I picked up a 'vibe' from him and knew where this is going. The overall message was that while my eggs looked good, we'd not been successful n 4 cycles so there was an underlying egg issue. While each cycle has had different results in terms of number fertilised, pregnancy etc, he thought it was an overall declining pattern, and that our chance of conceiving on a future cycle was between 1 in 6 to 1 in 10. We discussed using my one frostie, but I said that I felt I needed to do another stim cycle, so that's what we'll be doing in a couple of weeks. Have had a little cry but expect there will be more to come.
I know I should be happy that I at least have a child already, but I just love him so much, and can't face the thought of never having more of him. I don't feel like I've done anything special or remarkable in my life, so always felt that being a mummy would be something I could be great at. It's breaking my heart to think I won't have a bunch of kids to love.
So DH has made a plan.
    1. Have lots of sex now, on the off chance that a miracle happens
    2. In 12 days go for BT to start another stim cycle
    3. If it doesn't work, do a FET in the New Year
    4. Have a chat with my younger sister about the prospect of egg donation (complicated - she has no kids and lives in US)
    5. Take a break and get super healthy before deciding on the future
    6. Consider getting a 2nd opinion

Sorry for the huge ME post. I guess I'm trying to not bottle things up and find a way to cope

Ahh Lola. That sucks. Your plan sounds good though I would definitely get another opinion. Are you going to do anything different in this new cycle to get a different result?
I would also try a different clinic. Sometimes doing something different may get you a different result. IVFA is just as good as Genea and they do things a bit different. Like polposcope the egg, assisted hatching etc. In my opinion, you have nothing to loose but maybe alot to gain.
Best Wishes, I have a feeling your babywishes will come true soon.

Quartz: OMG hon that is fantastic news. So exciting that your have a darker HPT earlier than all your other times. Your little one must be letting off lots of sticky HCG. Can’t wait to the BT to confirm your wonderful BFP.

Lola: Oh hon so sorry to hear. Those calls with Dr B can be heartbreaking, I always look forward to them for answers but am worried he is going to tell us the one thing I never want to hear. Like Dr B said each of your cycles has been so different and the next one will be totally different and could be just the one that gets you over the line. I think your plan of attack is a great idea.

Bella: So sorry to hear AF showed up. I think a second opinion is a great idea, one thing i would be really pushing for is progesterone support in the TWW. We have 2 FS, i use Dr Bowman for me and we see Dr Lok for my DH condition (MFI). Dr Lok is fantastic, i can’t rate him high enough, our last stim cycle was our first one with him and he was amazing. He is also very proactive about doing all of the other investigations as to why cycles aren’t working when you have great Blastocysts (ie NK testing etc). Definitely go and see him, on our first appointment he was so calm and reassuring and really knows his stuff.

Paddlegirl: How are you going in the TWW hon? Sorry to hear you didn’t get anymore frosties. On my last cycle i had 15 eggs fertilise and all 12 were textbook perfect on Day 3 yet we only managed to get 8 blasts on Day 5 of which only 5 could be frozen. Focus on the one little awesome blasty now hon and the 1 littley you have in the freezer could be the little brother of sister to your one on board now. Are you going to do any HPT?

PinkB: Such a relief about the kidney problem not being a marker for Downs hon, i can’t begin to imagine how upsetting this has been for you since getting the news. Its great you have such a fantastic specialist who can help you through this time. If my question is too naive/personal i totally understand, but just wondering is it both Kidneys that have the problem or is it just one? Goodluck with the move X

Lindylou: How are you going hon? Your car looks fabulous, so sporty. Hope the trip to Melbourne was a great distraction. Have you ordered the extra Sharkeys stuff yet?

Angela: All the best for your next cycle hon, i find the pain more bearable if i have a plan for the next cycle.

    Sticky: how are you going?

Felicita: How is the TWW treating you?

Kelbelle: Have you decided what you are going to about your tubes hon?

Sorry if i missed anyone, there are so many of us in here now, it’s hard to keep up.

AFM: I “THINK” AF will be here in 9 days, that will make it CD40 (longest cycle i would of ever had). Its taking soooooo long, i hate all of this waiting. Oh did i mention i hate waiting :-)
