Yes it did seem busy but then again, I usually go to chatswood and I figured maybe some of the other clinics didn't open on Saturday.

I see dr bowman who is the guy you usually see on tv whenever they're doing an Ivf story. He's the medical director.

Hope EPU goes well tomorrow. I always get a bit teary - a combo of the procedure, hormones and it being the culmination of the process I guess.

I've been on fsh for a week now and go back for another ultrasound on tuesday. Hopefully this time I'll get time to hear how big the follies are and not just how many! I'll be interested to see whether all the stuff I'm taking has had any impact on quantity or quality! Tummy is starting to feel a little bit more achey now!

Fingers crossed for a good result tomorrow!!

Hi Ladies, Hope you all enjoyed the long weekend – pitty about the weather.

Lola: We are also with Dr Bowman, how do you find him? Hope you got some more info from your scan today, the clinic gets so busy (especially after a public holiday). Sounds like you’re a Northern Beaches girl, we are also Crazy Eagles fans, so happy they won or i would of had a very angry and upset DH to put up with over the weekend . I use the Acupuncture Support Clinic which is on George street so a really close walk from the Kent Street clinic for the pre and post ET sessions, they work very closely with SIVF so i prefer them over others, otherwise i am not sure where you live but i have a lady in Manly that i also see that is awesome, let me know if you want her details.

Sticky: Hope all went well for yur EPU honey, and they are getting busy in the petrie dish . I used to worry about O’ing before they got them out but i think the chances of that happening are about .0000000001%. I always get so nervous before the procedure, i think a lot of it is due to the hormones as well.

Bella: How are you going hon? My FS always has a follow up call with me a few days after my BT results from the cycle and in this time i usually have already made a huge list of questions to ask him and we plan our strategy for the next cycle, we always change something slightly as well. I would be insisting on progesterone support in the TWW for your next FET, there was al lady in the Melb thread who had 4-5 FET with no prog support and all BFN then finally convinced her FS to give her pessaries in the TWW and she is now UTD with her last frosty.

Traveller: Oh those questions would suck, surely they think that if its not happening there may be a problem so don’t ask questions . People can be sooo insensitive sometimes, sorry can't help with suggested answers for you. I so understand about the frustrating of waiting, we had to wait 3 months to cycle because of DH procedure and that turned into 5 months, then because i had OHSS its now been 7 months since my last transfer and i am going crazy.

Lindylou: How did the 21st go hon? Hopefully they were well behaved and there wasn’t too much mess for you to clean up . Did anyone cotton onto the “Burbon and Coke” trick? When is your next BT, oh its getting so exciting now. Are you going to have some time off after the ET?

Kelbelle: Awesome fert numbers honey, i totally understand though about having good fert rates, our issues always occur between day 3 – 5 when DH DNA starts to kick in. Hope your feeling better now after some rest, is your ET tomorrow?

Starfish: Oh sorry hon i started to get so excited and must of misread your email . So exciting that its so close now, you must be feeling so many emotions about it all and finally being able to start the journey properly. How is your sis going with it all?

Angela: All the best for EPU tomorrow, hope you gets lots of nice mature eggs . Really hoping you don’t get OHSS it’s horrible.

AFM: Not too much, first BT to track O for FET will be Friday, i will probably O a little late so don’t think my FET will be til around 18th October.

Ok Ladies for those of us who are thinking “Lucky 5” Did you know that October has 5 Saturdays, 5 Sundays and 5 Mondays and this type of occurrence only happens once in every 823 years? My DH thinks i am crazy that i am reading into the number 5 scenario........

Wow big post EO! Just sent you a PM.

Dr B has always been good for us and even when he doesn't agree with something (like how effective DHEA is) he still gives it to me. I do have a little less confidence now that I'm on cycle number 5 but when you're seeing the medical director, where do you go from there?

Sticky - how did epu go?

Well I had another scan this morning which was almost as vague - a couple around 16 and a others smaller. As soon as the clinic calls I'm going to grill them!

Hi to everyone else! I need to read back through the posts and catch up!!

    Hi all,

I hope you all had a great long weekend despite the wintery weather.

EO - My first BT to track O for FET is this Friday too! Although I do tend to O on day 12/13, so I might get a couple of days head start on you!

STicky - How was EPU? I hope you're feeling OK. Did they lots of nice eggs?

Lindy - hope your house is standing after hosting your brothers' 21st!

Lola - when are you due for EPU? How big do they wants follies to be, I forget! Is it 18mm+?

Anglea - how are you feeling? Getting excited for EPU tomorrow no doubt!

Kelbelle - how are your embies going? EPU must be soon?

Traveler - I hear you on the inappropriate questions from friends & strangers. First it was when are you going to get a boyfriend, then when will you get married and then immediately after that when are you having kids, when is the next one etc etc! It's never ending. Surely people can figure out for themselves that there might be some sort of hold up, it's not like we're all waiting around for no reason!!!

Starf1sh - hope you had fun at your nephew's party! Very exciting that soon you and your sis will be synced and everything can go ahead!

Crofty, Quartz, PinkB, Nat, Felicta & anyone else I've missed (I read back as far as I could!) hope you're all doing well

AFM - thanks to those who replied to my mini freak out the other day. Sorry about that! So over the weekend DH and I did some research and wrote a list of questions for our FS appt today. He answered all of them for us. I asked about progesterone support and he said that every blood test has shown my progesterone levels to be normal and he doesn't feel that support (more than the 5000 Pregnyl 2 days before transfer) is needed. He said if this FET is unsuccessful he will do a medicated cycle next month with estrogen pills & progesterone support if that is what I want. He also said he would prefer if I did not take Chinese herbs while I am doing a cycle, but that acupuncture is fine. So I have my first BT to track O on Friday morning, followed by acupuncture.
I also grilled him about whether I should have further testing and he said they normally wait until the 3rd unsuccessful cycle but he wrote me a referral for BTs to test for anti thyroid antibodies, anti cardiolipin antibodies & Lupus anticoagulant. I haven't yet consulted Dr Google about these tests but I will do that soon, no doubt!

    to all Sydney ladies...

I tried numerous times over the weekend to get on, but my computer would freeze. Then when I did, I typed a reply which froze the computer again.

Lola77 - my ultrasound clinic gets me to write the measurements down for them, so as long as I remember what they are, I know the sizes.

Traveler - I had a very nosy, gossipy biatch I used to work with who always asked about me having babies. I told her straight up we probably couldn't have any otherwise it would have been around work within 30 seconds if I had told her. Then she went "well why don't you try ivf"...I think by then I had 3 tries. It really isn't anyone's business but mine. I never asked her how her sex life was...mind you she would tell stories at lunch that I could hear from my desk.

Eternal Optimist - loving all those 5's Hubby had to put my clothes in the 5th locker during egg collection (by order!)...mind you it was odd it wasn't number 5, the numbers were not in order

AFM - After EPU last Thursday, I had great fertilisation...10 from 11 embryos. Over the weekend I had 7 that were the required 8 cells, 1 at 7 cells and two lagging behind at 5 cells which they thought I would lose. I transferred 2 today, 1 of which was hatching Hoping to have 2-4 to freeze, which will be decided tomorrow how many. I am hoping that we get 4...Dr suggested possible surgery to fix hydrosalpinx may be an option should it not work this time, before FET. We have drained them at egg collection, now had a hysteroscopy and accupuncture for this cycle, so not much more I can do.

    Thinking of you all

    Hi all,

I am having a read back to cath up on all your news. I think of you all often and am feeling really positive about some more sydney BFP's with so many ladies cycling at the moment

We went away last week to the barrington tops which was relaxing. We had our 19wk scan last friday which was a bit stressful as it showed a problem with one of bubs kidneys. The time waiting to see a dr felt like an eternity as the sonographer didnt tell us the extent of the problem - very stressful. We see our obs. this week for more info but fortunately its not life threatening to bubs.

Thinking of you all and sending loads of and

    Ladies..
After being MIA due to a broken computer & then phone! I come back with absolutely devastating news from dh & myself..
We had two scans booked in this week, one yesterday with ob and everything was 100% perfect with both bubs.. And another today with some guy specialising in twin pregnancies (it was just by coincidence that the appointments were a day apart)... And no heart beat was found for either baby.. They have died in the past 24 hours... At 14 weeks... I don't know how everything could be so perfect yesterday... And today it's all over...
I was immediately admitted to hospital for a curettage... And am now in recovery... No longer pregnant... We are absolutely shattered... I don't know what else to say ;'(......
