    Default Which would you prefer?

    Hard pregnancy or hard newborn?

Had quite a few friends with newborns lately and ive notice a trend.. those who flew through their pregnancy seem to be having the MOST diffucult time with sick / grizzly / refluxy newborns...

While those that suffered in pregnancy seem to be having a blissful newborn time..

I know it can go either way but....

If there was some magic option what would you choose? a horrid pregnancy or a horrid newborn stage?

Well seeing as I don't have a choice at this point I'm hoping the hard pregnancy easy baby myth has some truth to it, hear that universe you owe me one!

I would choose a hard pregnancy.

When I was pregnant with DS1, it was pretty good actually until I got till 30 weeks and I had lots of fluid, was under a lot of stress at work and was basically told to stop working by my doctor, no morning sickness either.

When I was pregnant with DS2, it was pretty crappy...I only had a 6 week break between pregnancies so I suffered from really bad back and leg pain from 11 weeks, sometimes I could barely move. No morning sickness though.

I was pretty lucky I guess because I didn't have any problems with my boys when they were newborns, they were good sleepers, eaters etc

    niether

i had a bliss first preg and had a bliss baby
2nd preg was horrid at the end (mainly throat infection) and dd2 is a little pain in the butt and a big tantrum chucker but thats just her
3rd preg bliss hardly any probs and ds is pretty great

i dont think your preg has anything to do with your baby after

oh elle, it sure does and if i can wish this to be true for anyone it is you

out of my group of friends i would have to say it has been true for two of us (me - easy peasy pregnancy, hell infant friend the reverse) and not true for one. She had an average to hard pregnancy (nothing dramatic just not great) and a hard baby.

i don't know what i would prefer tbh. At least with the hellish infant you have the babe to love (most of the time) where as it's all a bit abstract when you are sick and the babe is still on the inside.

i think i'd prefer easy pregnancy hard baby.

It's all myths, it isn't true.. Don't stress. I had a cruisey pregnancy and a cruisey baby. All good, and I know how lucky I am for that.

If I had to choose I'd prefer a hard pregnancy over a hard baby.

I'd definetly pick hard pregnancy and hope for an easy baby! Atleast you know that the pregnancy is eventaully going to end. Hard newborn... well that could go on forever!!!!!

(*ps - i ws lucky and had great pregnancy, labour and newborn... buuttt I was one of 5 of my friends who were pregnant at the same time and 3 others had hard hard pregnancies and perfect little babies. One had a breeze like me and is still struggling her little DS!)
