    Default 5 month old vomitting

So I'm beginning to become quite concerned about my son and his eating habits. He has a bottle every 3 hours (150ml, but usually only drinks about 130ml and he's formula fed) and he usually has a little spit up when he's burped, but other times he'll bring up what seems to be half of what he ate :/ We've tried using infacol thinking it may be trapped wind, but he threw up a fair amount again. My fiance' thinks he may becoming allergic to the formula, but I'm not so sure. He does sometimes have very watery/yellowish poos which is one of the listed symptoms of babies allergic to formula, but he's been on the same formula since birth and it's only been the past 2 months he's started spitting up and occasionally vomitting. If anyone could give me some suggestions as to what it may be, it would be greatly appreciated! His next midwife appointment is on the 15th of December and at his last he was highly above average in length and slightly above average in weight, so he must be eating enough.. I'm just worried about the occasional large vomits.

Oh and I should mention he is on solids now too, but only has about half a jar a day, but we're starting to increase how much food he's getting.

I'd be thinking it's more the solids than the formula but that is just a guess. Can you change the solids - are you giving mixed solids or single items - maybe go back to single veg/fruit and try to eliminate something that may be bothering him.

I dont know if this helps or not. I started my DD on formula around 5 months old and combo fed for awhile then she rejected the breast and is now fully formula fed. My DD is also very tall but on the low side for weight.

She has really only every drunk around 100mls - although now starting to drink more.

Back to the point I find/found my DD did this also, occassionally would do a BIG spew after her bottle when I was winding her. I put it down to drinking too close to her solids. I moved her routine around so she had a minimum of 30 mins after solids before her bottle.

The other thing that might help is burping him half way through the feed to try and help his wind from bringing it back up.

As for the poo situation not sure, maybe the solids?

I hope you get some answers, I have found some of the MCHN are great (some more stressful than helpful though).
