    When,

Do you have the option for a 5 day embryo? I'm sure there will be a pathology open on Wednesday. How are you feeling?

    Motherwillbe,

So glad your feeling great! Do you have a date for the EPU yet?

    Kristen,

I do have the option of 3 days vs 5 days. The clinic I go to usually opts for 3 days. When deciding 3 or 5 the lab said it really is a hard choice and it's like asking a crystal ball.
The clinic usually does 3 days and advised if I went to 5 I may not have any eggs to freeze. Which again was another risk.
I decided on 3 cos the lab was more experienced with it. Plus I wanted eggs to freeze.
What about ur clinic?? 3 or 5 do they suggest?
And did they say anything about post embryo of we needed to take it slow or anything??

I forgot to mention that I'm feeling pretty bloated!! Belly about to explode. My jeans don't fit and having to resort to
loose clothing to hide the tummy!!
even my belly button is stretched out sideways.. Hehe sorry for the gross info.

Apart from bloating I don't feel anything else. Moving in bed from side to side also hard and painful cos of the bloating.
    How are you feeling??

    Fingers crossed for us!!

    When

Yes the bloating was so uncomfortable. I had a couple days off work but going back was hard to hide my belly. I looked pregnant! Plus i found it so hard to fit into my clothes too! My clinic does 5 days cause at that stage you get to see the black spot in the centre of the egg which means its a pregnancy. It is a higher risk of losing more eggs but that was the risk we had to take as we didn't have an option. Luckily for us it worked in our favour and we have a few frozen but I'm hoping we don't have to go back for a third time. I guess not having the option of 3 or 5 days was easier. It would be hard to make that decision. After the transfer I was told not to over heat my body esp around tummy area and to just take it easy until the BT results. No exercise just brisk walking is allowed although I haven't done that even. I'm too worried and I've got my husband doing the household chores! I think I'm just extra cautious after everything we have been through and it's probably not necessary but only a few days to go!!

    Hi all

I thought I posted a hello a few days ago but I think my iPhone played up on me

I'm Caz and I've just started my first cycle of IVF and I'm completely nervous! I have pcos - I've tried clomid and gonal f injections and still no baby - yet!

Just a brief story but my last cycle of injections with my old specialist resulted in me having a 4cm cyst on one of my ovaries so she placed me back on the pill to get rid of it. My instincts kicked in (for the 2nd time) after a year of seeing her, me and hubby weren't getting any progress so I booked in to see Dr Molloy for a consultation at QFG and we're now embarking on the IVF ship!

I started taking Synarel on Friday last week and had to stop the pill yesterday to induce AF. I'll see my specialist this coming Monday to see where I'm at. I'll wait for his green light to start the gonal f injections again, then the trigger and then.. We wait for the green light to progress with the egg pick up and then later on the transfer if everything goes smoothly right?

As I've stated this is me and hubby's first cycle of IVF so any tips/pointers you have, I'd love to hear from you!

Copious amounts of baby dust to all

    Caz

Hi Caz. Wishing you the best of luck as you start your ivf cycle. I'm on my second cycle and I also have PCOS. I've also tried clomid and then we did 2 cycles of IUI. I fell pregnant on 2nd cycle but it was ectopic. Had one of my tubes removed and decided IVF was our next option. I was on Puregon and Orgalutran. I also use progesterone pressaries / crinone to build up my uterus lining. On this cycle I'm on Progynova and progesterone again. Have my blood test Monday to find out if I'm pregnant!! Hope you can start your cycle soon! It's the one time you actually want AF to show up! Sounds like you have had a rough time so things have to start looking up. After the EPU you will need a few days to recover. It's quite uncomfortable and you get very bloated. Does QFG do 3 or 5 day transfer? I'm at Monash and the do 5 days. Have you tried acupuncture? I've been doing it for the last few months and it's a great way to stay calm and relaxed 😊

    Kristen,

Yes not having to decide 3 or 5 days is much easier. Not long before you do a blood test. Fingers crossed!!

My clinic didn't tell me much about dos and don't after ET but I've been cautious and taking it slow. Well I can't really even walk quick cos of the bloating. And always short of breath!
Did ur clinic mention if your allowed to rub rose hip oil on your belly? My belly is so stretched I'm afraid i might get stretch marks and I really want to rub oil on it to avoid it.

Hopefully it's a BFP for me when I do the blood test next week.

    When,

Yes not long to go for both of us! I'm thinking of doing a test at home Sunday night before the BT Monday. My clinic didn't mention anything about using something on my tummy. I always moisturise daily so I've just continued that on my tummy. Maybe ring your clinic and see what they say.

    Is anyone using progesterone pessaries??
