    Default White Noise CD

    Hi Everyone

We are staying with family over Christmas I am concerned that DD (8 months) will not settle for her day sleeps because there will be quite a bit of noise (which she is not used to).

I am looking for ideas to help keep out the noise as much as possible. I was thinking about getting a white noise cd.

Anybody used one of these? Would it be useful as a one-off thing or would she need to be used to it?

    Any tips would be helpful.

I haven't used a CD, but when DD1 was a baby we used to use our clock radio, but not tune it in, so it was just a static sound. It worked for us, not sure if it would work for an older bub.

I've just recently started putting our ipod on the dock in our room playing music (just a mix of normal music) while our kids nap. Their rooms are either side of ours. Its enough to drown out the noise of the other child if one wakes early or tantrums over going for a nap etc. Its been great! Maybe introduce something like that now before you get there?
