    Default Regular walking

Have you found it helped your labour? I was quite fit last pregnancy and for the first 8 hours of my labour i pretty much walked non stop. I was petrified my contractions would die so I just kept walking. I gave birth about 3 hours after I finished walking with no pain relief and a second stage of labour that lasted a couple of minutes. I wasn't as fit the pregnancy before and I definitely noticed the second time I found it easier but wasn't sure if it was that I had done it before or because I was fitter the second time and walked 8 hours straight that made it easier.

I am definitely no where near as fit as i was last pregnancy and I don't think I could walk for 8 hours now at 28 weeks let alone 38 weeks in labour. I was thinking of maybe starting to walk every morning as I probably only do 45 mins of incidental walking around my neighbourhood. Just wondering if people found walking regularly helped labour?

I've been thinking about this too. I'm not sure if I was fit with F but I was swimming quite a lot. Few times a week for 30 mins. F was so low I couldn't really walk. Felt like ge would fall out lol. But I was reasonably fit.
Btw, tbe increased protein has just about eliminated my sugar cravings! Am able to have one piece of choc in bed while reading at night and that's it. And no major carb blow outs.

I went on big walks daily, even a massive one while I was in pre-labour, never slouch, was very active and still had a horrible posterior labour!

Kar it's really amazing how easy the sugar is to block out after increasing proteins which I have to. I have been wanting to eat healthier food now and have better cravings. I was battling it for so long i thought I'd never stop but after getting over the initial hump it's so much easier. Although yesterday I had quite a bit of bad processed carbs like white rice and I learnt my lesson I felt horrible afterwards. I'm starting to get nervous labour is on the horizon and I don't want to be like the grasshopper who didn't prepare lol.

I don't know if I coped with it better the second time because I was fitter. I'm a bit scared I'm so unfit this time I will struggle.

Me too! I did all the 'right' things, so this time I guess all I can do is the same as before- and pray!
