    Default fet and progynova dose?

I'm back, and feeling much better (probably since that nasty crinone is out of my system....I swear it made me a bawling mess!!). My first FET transfer is on Dec 20th (ultrasound Dec 15th to check lining). My question is, what dose of the progynova were others on? I have been put on 6mg/day (3 tabs per day for 10 days...then lining check). Is this a normal kind of dose? Also found out that they use vitrification to freeze the embryos, which apparently has similar success to fresh transfers. Because of this (and me being 30) they will only allow 1 embryo to be transferred.....is this the norm too? I really hope the FETS actually work, and are worth doing! Any experiences would be good to hear!

Your dose is the same as mine, and yes 1 transfer is normal unless you are older or have had a number of cycles.

Hope it goes well, hang in there!!!

    Hi Twinklebub,
Sorry don’t know much about prognova and what it is used for, but we are due to have our first FET around 20th December as well, we are doing a natural cycle so BT and US to check lining and ovulation then just pessaries after ET. Our clinic uses vitrification only and our FS advised this method gives almost the same success rate for pregnancies as what the fresh cycles do. He said they only freeze Blasts using vitrification if they are 99% sure they will thaw OK and result in a pregnancy otherwise they wouldn’t freeze them at all – which i think is fantastic news. They also mentioned some women have a lot more success with the FET as there are less drugs in your system and it easier for your body to accept. There is a poll on BH somewhere (sorry can’t find the link) that shows a VERY good success rate for FET. I too was also told i was only allowed 1 emby to transfer as i am 29 and the fact they are using frozen blasts, i think this is a pretty standard procedure at most clinics.
This is the cycle for us for our .

I have been on 2 tablets per day of progynova since CD5 - not sure what dose though. My FET is Saturday and I start progesterone pessaries today - yay (NOT!)My cycle this time around has been much faster, only only scan needed and my lining is ready to go!

This is my 4th FET, the first 2 were single transfers and natural and both were BFN, the last transfer was 2 and medicated and resulted in a BFP (but m/c 6 wks ago). I am a bit older than you so they were happy to transfer 2 and I feel like this, along with the medicated cycle helped get my BFP last time. So hopefully I get the same result this time around!

    Good luck!
