Default Implanon advice - Maybe TMI

    Hi everyone,
Not sure what topic this comes under so have put it here.

I have had the implanon in for about 14 months now and have never had a problem until the last month or two.
Basically for about a month I have had dark blood when wiping but not enough to wear a liner but now it is red and more of it.

Is this normal with implanon or should I be nipping to the drs?

Any advice will be gratefuly recieved Thanks.

Same thing happened to me...I had it in for about 2 years withour any problem, but then all of a sudden i started bleeding all the time...like you, not enough to wear a pad/tampon but enough all the same!!

I went to the docs...cos who wants that...she said it was all ok but sometimes it does that. i didnt wana put up with it so i got it taken out...doc gave me the choice to see if it would settle down by itself.

A friend of mine had bleeding right from when she first got it in...she let it go for 2 years (can you imagine a preiod for 2 years), she became anemic and quite sick...my advice to you is go to the docs and see what they say!!

Probably nothing to worry about and they'll probably take it out of give you some more info.

I had it for about 2 years I think (it was awhile ago!!), had no problems until after about 18 months when I started getting my period every second week. I persisted for months hoping it would go back to normal but it didn't so I got it removed.

Seems to be a pretty common problem with it, which is a shame because its so good otherwise!!!
