    Default Breast Implants ???

I have been considering having the surgery for a long time - as I am, and always have been extremley small in that area. Let's put it this way a AA bra ( you know the ones they make for teenages who are just getting their boobies) is too big for me

There have been a few things ( apart from the cost ) holding me back. Firstly, I am worried about the reaction of friends and family - will they think it's just an incredibly shallow/vain thing to do. Secondly, I am worried about not liking them once I've got them ( I have heard of people wishing they hadn't done it as they were not happy with the "burden" of a heavier chest.

So I'm after ANY opinions on this matter. I have always been really insecure about my small chest - and have never really felt like a "woman" iykwim?

I would also love to hear from anyone who's had them done - are they happy with the outcome, what was the reaction from family etc

My husband feels that we have better things to spend the money on and says he doesn't care about my boobs being so tiny ( mind you, he has NEVER been interested in mine and is always going on about and looking at women if they have normal sized boobs - eg, saying how huge they are etc )

I know that we are all supposed to be happy with the way God made us etc etc .... but I feel that having this done would really do a lot for my self image as it's pretty bad these days

My friend had them done and loves them!!

They do look spectacular! I want one too!!!

My friend did not tell her family she just let 2 close friends in on the secret so we could care for her the days after surgery

candyn - unfortunatley I think even if I didn't tell my family etc - it would be pretty obvious, especially since they are always teasing me about my flat chest!

As you may know, I am going in for a tummy tuck, and a breast lift.

Two things hold me back from going in and getting it done immediately.

    1. It's going to cost $6000. And that's with a discount for having a medical prob with my tummy.

    2. I'm TERRIFIED of the pain. A friend had implants. She has no kids, and no responsibilities but herself. But she ended up in bed for 8 weeks. Mind you she looks fabulous.

Angeldoula - if it was only going to cost me $6k I'd be gettig it done tomorrow I have a couple of "quotes" (sounds like I'm getting some mechanical work done when u put it like that!) and it will be around $12k

After having 4 kids the pain will be nothing for you ..... I figure it can't be worse than labour!

mmmmm. Yes it would be good to get it done tomorrow.

But who would fight Jack into his car seat daily?

Sure as S**T not me with 3 scars ready to burst.

Will be waiting for Jack to get over his demons

Have you seen Dr Beriedis? He's my surgeon. THE BEST! or Dr Anand Deva.

I've been to Dr Deva for a completley unrelated matter - funny thing was when I first walked in to his room for the consultation he looked at my chest first thing - I reckon he was sure I was in there just for a boob job. It was actually about some nerve damage to my face! Poor guy was a bit embarrassed I think cause it was really obvious that he thought I had come about my boobs

He is the SIL of my family GP so I trust him completley.

Another guy I've seen is in the city - he is very very good but was pretty pricey

I would love to get mine done but Iv heard the pain is sooo sooo much worse than labour & it lasts a hell of a lot longer but I think in the long run it would be great.
Though I can't see myself affording anything near that much anytime soon.(I have never even spent more then $50 on my hair lol)
Maybe you could just go up a little bit in size so it isn't too noticlable, maybe a b? Why don't you ask your friends & family (don't let them now how serious you actually are) what they think?
