    Congrats on your first boy!
    Think link may help:
    http://www.circinfo.net/pdfs/LOC-ANZ%200912-1.pdf

It lists several doctors in Sydney.
I'm sure you would be able to find some in Wollongong if you called around a few GP's. The maternity ward at the local hospital should be able to let you know of doctors in the area.

In regard to age and price, each doctor is different. Just call around a few to find what suits you.
Our first boy cost approx $400. Our 2nd was only about $100. If you wait too long (6 months), then they will most likely need a general which will be alot more expensive.

    Good luck.

    Smile Circumcision

I am here to help when it is required. It is wise to circumcise depending on what you believe.

I wanted to circ my boy at about four weeks and the only way I could get it done was at a private hospital as we didn't have private health insurance it was going to cost us 2 grand! I neally had a heart attack and as we needed a car we just couldn't afford that for something like that I kind of wish I found out what I was having so I could organize it for before he was born but as the hospital just wouldn't do it seemed like to much hassle I was actually appauled sorry now it is almost four years on and he hasn't had it done and probably never will so my advise if you want it done organize asap good luck all

    Smile Circumcision

Anyone considering getting it done for their boys, it is at least worthwhile discussing it with a doctor. I don’t think it is that much of an issue getting it done these days.

So you have spoken about it and you are wanting to get it done perhaps, for your boy/s!!!. Boys upto 12 years old are able to be done in a fairly straight forward procedure. Seems like a popular thing these days, why wait any longer!

Circumcision seems to be becoming popular. Do you want more information so you can decide to get it done for your boys. I hear a lot of "yes please" from mums.

I (and probably many others) would be interested to know the basis for this claim, since there were about 2000 fewer rebates for boys in the last financial year.

Thanks John I am sure there are extenuating reasons why there were 2000 less last financial year other than it is a bad idea as some might lead us to think. Just because something is becoming more popular does not mean occasionally in a set period there will be less of, just like you have pointed out, thanks for your comments.
