Hello ummi,
Common complaint where it is not done over a certain age at a particular centre. I have replied with where you will be able to get it done, it is done at all ages but you need to know where it is done.

Hi there, just wondering if you could
tell me which doctors perform circumcision in Perth?
I used to have a list from when we had our second boy done. But I have no idea where it has gone.
I do however, remember who we ended up choosing.
It was Dr Lim.
You can find his details here:
http://www.kelvale.com.au/practitioners.html
It was only about $150 and got some back from medicare. He uses the plastibell, with painstop, emla cream, and a local anesthetic. The nurses were fantastic.
Thanks Father, much appreciated. I will have to look into the different method? My first boy was done surgically?
No worries. I'm sorry I couldn't find the list that I had. There are plenty of doctors in Perth that do it - with different methods.
If you aren't a fan of the plastibell, I would suggest you just call the local maternity wards in some hospitals in your area and ask them to provide you a list of names. When I called up the Joondalup hospital, they gave me a couple of names - which in turn also knew of other doctors. Within 15 minutes, I had about 8 names to work with.
Good luck!
Thanks again for the recommendation Father - Dr Lim was fantastic, very kind & informative & even gave us his mobile number for reassurance.
hi just thought i would pop in and let you all know that there is a surgeon in mackay , QLD that does circumcisions.
Mackay Surgical Group - they are on willetts road (near the mater i believe)
they will only do up to 4 weeks of age (from dob for a full term baby or EDD for a preterm baby)
approx $350-400 at this point in time (and like $100 ish back on medicare) and you need a drs referal from either doc that delivered or your gp.
hope this helps
