    Slinky, CONGRATULATIONS PUPO MAMA!!!
Your embies sound amazing and here's to 1 on the way and 1 for the freezer just for good measure

Pink, 4/4 going strong is wonderful!! to them for the coming days.

AFM, OMFG the waiting is torturous, still haven't heard!!! Just called the lab and they haven't received the results yet from Melbourne, hopefully very soon. DH and I are both going a bit now. Back later.

Starfish - what a long long wait! I keep checking in to hear your new as I'm home with a sick DD. I have absolutely everything crossed for you. Did you get an update on how the embies are doing today?

    thanks ladies

Starfish - hope those results come in very very very soon. Either way, it's got to be today, right???? Hang in there lovely.

PinkyB - yay for continuing growth!!!

    melk -

Brief update from me - as part of cycle preps, FS checked my thyroid and found it to be slightly abnormal. So I've been on the medication Eutroxsig 50mg 4 times per week. I had it retested last week but results went missing. So they retested yesterday and results came back today, showing a TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) level of 4. FS has subsequently increased the dose to 50mg Monday - Friday and 100mg Sat and Sun ie quite a significant increase. This makes me worried that the result of 4 is quite some way from what it should be, which isn't ideal given it needs to be working right now! Have put in a call to FS but wondered in the meantime if anyone knows anything about thyroid function and whether I should be concerned that 4 is going to impact on implantation likelihood. There's nothing we can do about it now anyway but it is good to be armed with all the info. thanks in advance for any help lovelies

Slinky, Lindylou on the Sydney thread has just had extensive investigations and treatment for thyroid issues and is very current with this. I would suggest PM'ing her, I'm sure she won't mind. Or she might swing by here soon, cos I know she has been lurking

Ok, deep breath. Both embies made blastocyst but 1 has started to degenerate today and PGD results shows a trisomy 11 Completely random event as the karyotyping from my last MC showed a completely different trisomy. The other one is much better and would've been tx this morning based on it's appearance (this was the one that was grade A on day 3). Dr S said there is 'no result' for it as the cell they tested either had no nucleus or it was disrupted during the prep but would 'almost certainly' be abnormal Therefore the PGD people would not recommend transfer. So this is the end of the line for this cycle BUT I have quite likely averted another MC for that I am very grateful and has made it all worth while

FS has quote... 'no idea' why I have had lining issues however has advised we could do another PGD and either not use the OCP (which he agrees has likely oversupressed me hence my poor response) or could potentially do an Antagonist but makes it much more difficult to 'time' the cycle. Or the other option he agrees is ED. So DH and I have a lot to think over and we are getting started by going out for a very late lunch with a few vinos thrown in for good measure

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who supported me through this really difficult time. It has been such a rollercoaster!

Special mention to my gorgeous, incredibly supportive cycle buddies, Pinkb, Slinky and Mum4nay x a million. I definately wouldn't have stayed as sane without you. I wish you all and will continue to cheer you on from the sidelines

Starfish - so sorry about your 2 little ones - but I can too readily agree that a bad result beats another miscarriage. This cycle was a bit of a struggle for you, so next one WILL be better - enjoy your late lunch - your ED option is also fantastic x

Slinky - congratulations PUPO lady! Good to have some company on the awful 2WW!!

Pinky - good news from you too - glad you'll be joining us too

AFM - I'm 13dpo and no period as yet - mind you, my AF is so spontaneous of late that it doesn't mean much. I'm going bonkers

Starfish I am so very sorry to hear this result. As you say avoiding a miscarriage and all its heartache is a good decision - still not easy. I hope you had plenty of vino and hugs with your lovely DH

STARFISH - Wow im so sorry to hear of your result that they do not recommend transfer. But I do agree with you an averted miscarraige is a good thing and it was money well spent if it saves that heartache and physical trauma. I was just thinking this morning that one day I bet they just do PGD as a routine thing before transfer and people will look back and us and say how cruel it was they just transfered without knowing whether they were viable or not. You sounds calm I bet your sad but you do sound together - enjoy letting go youve had quite a ride you and your hubby

MUM4NAY - Hang in there girlfriend - also why are they making you wait the weekend till BT? they can do BT at 15dpo - id ring and push for this - do what I did my very first cycle break down in tears say you cant bear to find out by getting your period if it hasnt worked that your not coping etc or tell it to the counsellor - having to wait over the weekend naaahh not good

PB - 4 going strong thats great are you trf 2 if you can?

AFM - Im in my own 2ww lol im hoping for a natural DHEA miracle this month we timed perfectly etc and im taking progesterone tablets I had left over as support so im doing my own little ivf with one egg cycle - wish me luck The price sure is a lot better!
