    Default Metformin

I have PCOS and have been TTC for 12 months. We have tried clomid but with no luck, we are about to do our 1st IVF cycle.
My GP and GYN have me on 1000mg of Metformin twice a day but the FS has told me to stop taking it.
Is this good advice considering that I have PCOS?
Could stopping the metformin result in miscarraige?

Metformin is a drug used for diabetes and is indicated in some cases of women that have PCOS. Metformin is only indicated in your case if you have insulin resistance and thesis is commonly tested by doing a glucose tolerance test. This involves a sweet drink and then blod tests some 2hours later. GS
