Default Tips on trying to conceive a girl?

Ok so we are not TTC at the moment but in the near future hopefully!

We have 2 little boys and would love a little girl.

Just wondering if anyone who tried conceiving a girl actually had a girl and what did you do to conceive a girl?

Do different sexual positions help as well? And foods etc?

    TIA

Are you serious haha! That will probably happen to us lol. Of course we would still be happy with another boy but we really would love a little girl.

We didn't actively try for girls, but we ended up with 2 girls.
With DD1 we dtd 3 days before ovulation and we got a girl.
With DD2 we dtd on the day of ovulation and we got a girl.

The general idea is that you dtd in the days coming up to ovulation but not the day of ovulation for a girl, and you dtd on the day of ovulation and the day after for a boy.

    Didn't work for us

Its still a 50/50 chance of either, with it changing by maybe 1% when gender swaying.

    People say diet helps right?
Not sure what science says about it..
I cut this from an article online "
Try a pre-conception diet rich in calcium and magnesium. Cut down intake of salty foods and red meat"
There seems to be a few sites regarding specific diets and the like.
Good luck with the baby making

Also, another thing I remembered, was that if your partner hasn't ejaculated in 7 or more days, there will be more 'girl sperm' because the 'boy sperm' would have started to die off.

Google O+1 (thats a capital o, not a zero) technique for another theory on how to conceive a girl, it goes into detail about what I explained above and to when to dtd and diet etc.

The sperm carries both X and Y chromosomes, it's pretty much up to the lady what the outcome will be. You're right though, the X (girl) chromosomes live way longer, they are slow but stronger then the Y, which are fast but weaker.
(i thought i'd read up on this now, you got me interested too!)

"Why Your PH Is So Important And How It Affects The Sex Of Your Baby: Here's how your PH fits into this equation. The boy sperm is weak. So, if your PH is high, it will compromise this Y sperm and you will greatly improve your chances of getting a girl because it will encourage these little guys to die off faster. So that in the end, only the girl sperm remain in the race.
The girl sperm, on the other hand, is very strong. So, if you want a boy, you'll need to lower or alkalize your PH to improve your chances of getting a boy. You're trying to make the environment a friendly one in which these little guys thrive.
If this sounds scary or difficult, it doesn't need to be. You can change or lower your PH as needed in a few ways. The first is, depending on which gender you want, you need to go on a high or low PH diet (high acidity for a girl and low for a boy.) There are food lists available to help you with this."

    i have two boys also,

we didnt do anything different, no different positions, or diet, or different undies etc.

for some reason my fertility friend chart wont show up, but ill tell you the days we DTD.

oh i was using OPKs as well.

usually i have a 27 day cycle so started using the opks on day 11 of my cycle. was getting faint lines, so DTD that night.

opks were getting darker over next few days, so DTD on day 14, and 16. still not quite positive opk.

got a very strong positive opk the morning of day 17, so DTD that night.

fertility friend put me down as Ovulating on day 18.

    didnt DTD for another week.

got a faint positive BFP on 9dpo.

and this bub is definately a girl!!

good luck for when u start TTC!!!
