Laptop turns on by itself at night?

Hi all I don't know if this is something weird going on in our home or if it's just coincidence?

Weoved into our home (unit) about 18 months ago and quite a few times a few months ago I would wake up to go to the loo in the night and see a light coming from the spare room. When I went in I would find the laptop swithed on.

It's only my DH and I who live here and I know he normalls shuts it down after he's used it. It's happened about 5 times that I know of and then it stopped, but it happene again last night.

Do laptops normally turn themselves back on? It has only ever happened at night, never during the day.
