Default Too small or too big - help

My DD is 6 wks old and 4.6kg's. We have been using Huggies newborn which she has now grown out of. We bought a pack of Huggies Infant but they are too big around the legs and she keeps leaking.
Can anyone recommend a nappy for in between sizes? I'm in Perth so don't have Aldis...
    Thanks!!

I HAAAAAAATE Huggies, they always leak on my baby.

DD is now 5 months however i wish i had of swapped over to something else earlier as they caused me many many issues & poo explosions like you could not believe (or maybe you could).

I have been using pampers & they are great, they have weird sizes but they seem much more comfortable & havent had any leakage problems. They have a range of sizes just have a look for ones in your babies range.

Good luck & i know how you feel re the leaking nappies - like changing a nappy isnt bad enough but then you have to change the whole outfit.

The best way to win an argument is to begin by being right

Huggies newborns nappies always leaked on my two, but once they got bigger it was fine.

My advice- since I like huggies- would be to stick with the infant size.. we always found that it really took no time at all for the boys to grow into the next size.. and being a bit loose around the legs didn't really affect leakage like I thought I would have.

I had big dramas with Huggies too with DD, poo everywhere, so I started using Baby Love and I find them fantastic, they fit her so much better and she no longer poos out the back of them like she did with huggies.

What I do is put the nappy on a bit higher than usual at the front, and do the tabs up, then fold the overhang at the top over the tabs, that way its a closer fit around the legs. I hope that makes sense.

Thanks heaps for all the responses.
Ditching Huggies isnt really an option as I have 2 boxes of Crawler nappies to use once she fits into them.
Can empathise completely Wicket with the poo explosions up the back whilst using Huggies newborns...
Nomsie the first infant size nappy i put on her today the poo all came out through the leg hole....
Thanks Fruittingles - might give it another go see if I can make do with them considering I paid $25 for a pack from IGA and boxes of 98 only cost me $30!! At that price i might seriously start considering MCN's!!
Thanks Willowtree might try the Babylove once i get through the pack of 25 cause I think its going to be a while till she fits the Huggies crawlers..

I found Babylove really good when DS2 was between 2-8 weeks old.

Pampers Swaddlers size 1 (not NB) is slightly bigger than Huggies NB. I had the same problem with there being a big difference between newborn and infant, and the Pampers seemed to bridge the gap.
