    Question Scrapbooking

Im thinking about starting a scrapbook for my DS but have a few questions...

    - He is 14 months old, is that too late to start?? Ive kept a few things from his birth, like the umbilical cord clip, name tag from around his ankles, name tag from above the bassinet from the hospital etc that I could use

    - Ive never done it before, is it hard?? How do I get started??

If any ones in Perth that loves scrapbooking and wants to show me how, maybe our kids could have a play date too.

    TIA

It's never too late to start!
If you have a craft, scrapbooking or spotlight store near you there is certain to be scrapbooking classes or nights look into it! otherwise just buy some paper, stickers, glue (photo mounts are good) & start positioning bits and pieces until you happy then glue down you will love it. Don't try too hard or think too much that's when it gets hard

Try your local library for some books, they will give you heaps of ideas and know-how to start and its free

While I think scrapbooking is partly to keep physical momentos, like photos and keepsakes, its also to journal or story what you are scrappin. So you could do his birth, and then include a small story about the day.

I do a lot of photography so most my pages are simply some of my favourite shots, with either a theme or something like colour etc taken the photo for inspiration. Or the pages are of milestone bubs has made, like at the first's. Before you know it you will be thinking of a million pages to do, like childs funny faces, or naughty habits etc.

My tips though for purchasing, I started out trying to purchase items for each page as I wanted to do them, must say it didn't really work most the time. So now I just buy what I like whenever I see it, much to DF's disgust at the growing collection and keep a folder containing the photos I wish to do, with a list on the front of them. I buy most my stuff from cheap shops or on sale, and only make specific trips to my local store for items I really need, cause scrapbooking can get really expensive and we are on minimum wage, but you wouldn't to know looking at the pages they were budget.

    Have fun!!!

WARNING..............Once you start you won't stop
I loooooooove scrapbooking. My best friend and i set aside one night a week to scrap together. It's our 'childfree' time!
And No it's never too late to start. The things you have kept are perfect to use. Just go along to your local craft stores and purchase some goodies and then let your imagination run wild!
You can always get ideas for your pages from the internet if you're not sure how to get started.
    Have Fun
