Tummy Ache after D&C

I had a d&c 3.5 weeks ago and ever since I've been a little bit achy in my lower tummy. I've now ovulated and I'm still achey. It's really not a bad ache, but omnipresent. I assume that it takes a while to recover from the insult of the operation etc etc and wondered if anyone else had noticed the same thing and how long it lasted?

I too experienced the same thing as you. At 3 weeks i ovulated as I had the most horendous pain and tugging in both ovaries. Then for 2 weeks after that had pretty much a lot of achey lower belly pain. It got so bad some night it would wake me from my sleep. I started to get so worried that things might of gone wrong, ( I have to learn to stop thinking the worst). Had my 4 week OB check up and he mentioned not to worry and to ecpect AF to arrive very soon.
AF arrived 35 days (5 weeks) post D and C I am so happy to finally have it back , Back to feeling normal few days before I got the tender breasts and I have been quite emotinal and weepy.

So please try and not worry yourself too much ( who am I kidding I am the worst person for that) lay low for a bit longer longer and If the pain does get worse maybe see your DR.
Speaking of pain AF post D and C was quite painful for me ( felt like a teenager again)

I didn't experience too much pain post D&C, even though I was bleeding for a good 2 weeks afterwards (not heavily). I didn't have to resort to any painkillers which was a bonus I got my first AF 3 1/2 weeks after bleeding had stopped, then one normal cycle and then AF arrived again 2 weeks later??!! My cycles were out of whack but seem to be back to normal now. Yes, your body may take a while to recover from D&C, it's a traumatic experience not only emotionally, but physically too so give it time and try not to worry

Thank you both It doesn't hurt exactly it's more of a little bit of an ache which makes me aware of a bit of me I'm normally in blissful ignorance of if that makes sense!

Ah well, time will fix all
