Default Advice: Which Ensemble Single Bed?

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice about which single bed to buy.. My (almost) 3yo needs to move from his cot to a single bed.

We are renovating at the moment and living in a really small place and so I've been holding off getting him one until we move back. But the build is over schedule and I fear we may never move... so I thought I might buy a "interim" ensemble only. It will fit in our current place and he can use it for the next few years and then when he's a bit older I will buy the bedroom "suite" that I want (or he wants by that stage..ha ha) Maybe a bunk or something. I figure that his sister (she is currently 6mo) can move to this bed when she is ready to move from the cot (another reason he needs a bed!!)

Anyway sorry for the ramble but I just wanted to explain the background, as I don't want to spend loads of $$ but as sleep is very important I would like to get something half decent. I feel bad to buy the cheapest in the shop if it is bad for growing bodies, etc....can anyone offer me some advice? Thanks in advance

As you said, dont buy the cheapest in the shop as his body is growing. I just spent 200 dollars on a new cot mattress for DS as he has worn a big dent in the old one. He's a very heavy bub and needs the extra support in his back. I have many back problems, so I dont want DS ending the same.

I suggest you go to some stores like Harvey Norman or Fantastic Furniture and see what they have available. Just sit on some beds and see if they're firm/comfy enough.
It really is a personal choice. I dont think much advice can be given about this particular subject....

i'd buy something mid price range, that way you aren't spending thebig bucks but are still getting a fair quality.
