I had Miss1½ in a rearfacing seat, Miss7 in a forwardfacing booster, Miss9 in the back next to them, and Miss11 in the front.
The officer asked the age of Miss9 (presumably since she wasn't in a seat). She was most offended by this and complained about it all the way home. Miss7 was also complaining because the officer probably thought she was six (or younger) since she was sitting in the seat.
I tought it was good that they are now checking and explained to the girls that they need to allow for childen whom may appear older than they really are and gave the example of 18+ establishments checking ID for anyone who looks under 25.
