What have you done when it comes to toys and small objects when you have a toddler and a baby who has started getting around?

DD2 is now on the move and I find I am spending every other minute removing things from her that she shouldn't have like crayons, small toys, playdoh. She literally eats everything in sight, last week she pooped cardboard, god only knows where that came from. She is even stealing the tiny plastic elastic headbands from DD1's head and sticking them in her mouth arggghhhh.
