    Question drying up breast milk???

has anyone gone from breast feeding to bottle feeding and successfully dried up their supply.
I have been transitioning for two weeks now, and am now fully bottle feeding.

I have taken some medication to supposedly dry my supply up, but wondering when it will work. I want to avoid getting mastitis!!!

anyone else had a similar experience??

cabbage leaves will dry up your supply really quickly.

(not the tough knarly leaves from the very outside though- uncomfy to use those)

A mum in my mums group had to dry out her supply. My mum used to be a midwife and suggested this to me so i passed it on thinking it wouldnt work.

tear a hole for your nipple to poke out of and pop a leaf in each side of your bra. take them out when they are limp and wilted. Use them overnight too.

Mums group mum said her supply dried up over a weekend.

Hope that helps. No idea about the drugs timeframe.

I thought cool cabbage leaves just helped with pain?

Anyways, I never truly dried up. I wasn't leaking and I wouldn't say I ever had a "supply" but if I squeezed even 2 years after DS was born I could get some out. I think its pretty normal.

    Sorry, not much help.

with ds I dried up completely in 3 days and I had alot of supply lol. I used an old natural remedi given to me by an old mid wife. 1 tablespoon of applecider vinigar (which is good for you) and 1 good table spoon of honey. do that a few times a day and wella dried up boobies. I suffered mastitis really badly in the begining of breastfeeding so I wanted to avoid that when drying up my supply and it did. Will be doing it again when I wean dd. Good luck
