    Default Short periods/inconsistant luteal phase

    Hi there,

I have been on birth control pill for over 10 years, have been off it for 6 months approx, my periods appear to be 3 days long, medium to light, and it appears that my luteal phase can range from 9 days to 13 days. When I have the short 9 day luteal phase (23 day cycle), I experience cramps the day before my period comes, which I don't usually get for my other cycles. I worry about these short cycles where I get the bad cramps...or am I worrying about nothing in particular.

    thanks in advance

On the pill for 10 years a good thing. Decreased risk of ovarian and uterine cancer and does not interfere with your fertility. Cramps could be anything from endometriosis to nothing. Don't worry too much at this're young. Have a good time and come back to the problem if you are not pregnant in 3-4 months. Good Luck DR Glenn sterling
