If you like prawns, that's cool. There is no need to take all the prawns while you know other people are lining up behind you to get some for themselves though. As you said, the waiters come out and replace the food often - so why not get a sensible serving for yourself (leaving some for others) and then get another serving the next time a fresh batch comes out? It's just common courtesy in my opinion.

Yeah, and I don't think they would replace a whole salad because someone took all the prawns.

Sure, in the larger scheme of things no improbably doesn't matter. But that would have had me seething and I'm afraid I wouldn't have been able to hold my tongue!

I'm a vegetarian, so it wouldn't have bothered me. Now, if someone was bogarting the potato bake...

It is pretty rude. And she obviously knew she was in the wrong or she wouldn't have been so defensive about it. Oh well, such is life I'm afraid.

I think it was shellfish of her. Hehe Pardon the pun. Lmao

Seriously though. I wouldn't have said anything. I generally don't trust anything with prawns unless I've cooked them myself.

I guess I just don't sweat the small stuff.. It wouldn't have fazed me in the slightest.

I do think that the verbal abuse the OP recieved was rude though.

Yes that in fact was what would have made me seethe - far more than the prawn grabbing.

No wonder she reacted that way. You were scrutinising her eating habits, laughed about it with your husband and talked about the woman as she was sitting directly behind you. Maybe she felt uncomfortable/embarrassed being in that situation and reacted poorly.
