    Hi Ladies,

    I too am overweight & pregnant with #2 - Due June 2013.

I have stalking bubhub for nearly 3 years since being pregnant with my daughter. When I fell with her I was 107kgs. I had ZERO discrimination throughout that entire pregnancy. Went through shared care until around 28 weeks when baby was measuring a few weeks behind so went into the special care program at the hospital. Again, Zero discrimination.

I am a similar weight now & just 4 weeks with #2. Reading through this forum is both scary and so heartbreaking. I am living in fear of going to the doctor now - haven't been as yet.

I really hope you all tell them to shove-it! I know I would. If I find discrimination with my current doctor then I will be hunting down the GP I used last time, even though she's 30mins drive away, she was excellent and never once "told me off" about my weight.

She spoke to me gently about healthy eating and gave me some excellent contacts for pre-natal pilates and exercise classes.

I am finding this time around, like last time my body is automatically going into healthy eating mode. I lost around 7kgs in the last pregnancy and hoping for similar this time.

Breastfeeding made me MASSIVELY put on weight - yikes! I gained around 11kgs in 6 months. So I will really have to rain myself in this time.

    Hi ladies.

Hope im in the right spot. Im not exactly preg but i guess i just wanted to hear from like minded women.

Im 23, overweight (who am I kidding, Im obese) and we are TTC. I already feel defeated due to my weight I feel as though we wont get preg. Clearly you lovely ladies have though!

I am trying to lose weight, I am also waiting on blood results for PCOS and the likes. I was 122kgs and I am now down to 119.8kgs (YAY I cracked 120kgs!!!). So i am trying and realise i have a way to go yet but I just feel crap about my weight affecting my chance to have a baby.

My husband is also overweight, He is 6ft 2 and 140kgs (im only 5ft 3).

Sigh, I am doing lite n easy as I struggle with prep of food and time due to shift work (Days and nights in the same week, every week, 12hr shifts) and its working. YAY.

Anyway. Just wanted to pop in and say hi, hopefully there is still hope for us

    thnx.

    Welcome MrsR
When we started TTC we were in a similar situation to you (less the possible PCOS). DH and I had both lost a fair bit of weight but still had a long way to go and like you before we had even started TTC I had defeated myself and had myself convinced it would never happen. I talked about my concerns with DH and his advice was not to stress too much about it and it will happen when it happens. Well we fell pregnant on our second cycle and only have another 7 weeks til we're due! I hope this gives you a bit of hope for your journey.
Good luck with you baby making journey and weight loss journey.

I started at 114 and am now down to 106 thanks to extreme morning sickness. But my BMI is still too high and I have to have the glucose test early and a liver function test :-(
