Default I wish someone had told me

That having a baby turns you into a big hormonal mess lol,

my little man is 19 weeks old and has slept in a snuggle bed on my bed since he was two weeks old,
I discovered tonight that he most definatelly can not reasonably be expected to sleep in their anymore as his feet hang right over the edge and now the sight of the empty snuggle bed is making me bawl! and before quincy I was not an overly emotional person

never mind that we payed 450 dollars for a beautiful cot that I absolutely adored and we both had to have and now I hate the thought of my bbaby going into it pmsl

plus I honestly dont know what I'll do with the rest of the bed space and not to mention how Im going to check on him without much distubance 40 hundred times a night anymore pmsl

dear god anyone got any ideas?

You could sidecar the cot next to your bed

Yeah I've crammed the cot into our bedroom when it was too squishy to co sleep. She is beside me right now, I can hear her breathing. It's very reassuring 

Eventually your little one will be able to use the cot, with my first child I had it next to the bed and would pop him in it once he was fast asleep so that we could cuddle or have adult time, and bring him back in if he stirred.
I didn't get a cot again for any of the other children though.

Other than that, I used it a LOT for storage. Turns out when you have a baby, if you have no help whatsoever, it is good for dumping clean laundry in.
No time for folding clothes anymore!

Just leave him in your bed. I like to be able to reach out and always be able to check my son is breathing.

Thankfully, somebody gave me their old cot, as my son hates it. The cat sleeps in it. I need to get rid of it.

If I have another baby, I won't bother buying a cot after my experience.

    Yeah, neither will I.

Though I can make a HUGE list of things I WILL be buying next time.

I never even bought a cot. I had a porta-cot but that was more like a playpen but off the ground for when I wanted to clean the house when she was older. She could go in that, be in the same room as me, talk, sing, play, and not be on the floor. She didn't sleep in it though.

I actually sleep better with my little man in my arms (he usually comes into our bed from out of the snuggle bed sometime between 4 am - 8 am) and I love waking up with him in my arms but I know someone whos little bub died while sleeping with her (it's assumed that she rolled on her) so the idea that I *might* hurt my son scares me.

    I don't think I would,
I have a cat that comes into the bed with us and she is 3 years old and I have never rolled on her and she sleeps right behind my legs

But the idea that I could scares me
