Bbhope how frustrating! The waiting is the worst. I hope the ultrasound people might be able to give him an idea what the lump is when they scan him. And also my DH semen looks normal right texture and volume but no swimmers in it.

AFM EPU is set for Monday. But now my progesterone is to high so won't be having anything transferred. They said I will have to wait till next month and have a FET then. I hope they get some to freeze and more so I hope they defrost ok 🙏

Twosouls... I have my fingers crossed that you get some nice embies with your donor. Will they be thawing out your other eggs as well and injecting them at the same time?

Thanks Bertie yep they will be. I double checked they had it written on the form when they rang to confirm arrival time. Have you made any plans for your next step?

Twosouls.... ooh, that is exciting then - you've already got eggs before the EPU :-)) I will be interested to see how your eggs thaw out. Good luck.

AFM... just in a "waiting" period at the moment. Our FS appointment is still a week away, on 27 May. It would be possible to start again straight then, but I did back-to-back last time, and DH insists that this time I have a break. I'm anxious about doing nothing at the moment, but know that he's right. So instead I've booked long service leave for July to coincide with a June/July cycle, with EPU about the middle of July. I've been checking Bubhub every day or so, but am trying to limit my time on it at the moment, and rather devote my attention to things around the house etc. Once I start the next cycle I know I'll be on Bubhub again like crazy!!

Good luck with EPU tomorrow. Hope you get some nice eggs to go with your frozen ones :-))

Bbhope that is a frustrating situation and I can relate to the idea that it is never a good time. Hopefully when you see the specialist they are more helpful. That would be so hard with your SIL, I’d be making excuses to avoid her in your position. As to your question, DH ejaculates normal semen, but there are no sperm. But I understand there are many different types of Azoo. I thought 2 weeks sounded too good to be true, but you should get some reassurance from the ultrasound.

MGC I’ve been thinking of you. While a break will be hard when you want to get moving your body does need time to recover. Lucky you can take some time off for the next cycle.

Two Souls best of luck for today. I hadn’t heard of progesterone being too high before. Learn something knew each day. I hope you get lots to freeze. I am interested on how the thaw goes.

AFM It is official Last week I got a BFP and I’m expecting for mid January. Best of luck ladies.

Congrats to Sweet Its lovely to hear a BFP!!! How far along are you? You had a fresh transfer?

I had my EPU today. 13 eggs collected, 10 were mature. From the frozen 6 only 3 made it to defrost which I think is pretty good. They don't seem to hold much hope of them fertilising but we will see what happens when they call tomorrow....

    Congrats Sweet!

MGC, maybe it is good to take a short break.

    Two souls, best of luck!

DH ultrasound is this Wed. I would be curious to know what they see. DH doesn't want me to go with him, though. I guess they won't allow me to go in with him anyway.

I just read back early posts by you all ladies. It seems like all of your DHs have non-obstructive azoo (correct me if i am wrong). This seems to be more common than I thought. I am also surprised to read that mump could cause such damage. Actually, DH was very reluctant to do the SA. I sort of forced him to do it because I was worried for good reasons. DH actually had undescended testes when he was a child. Perhaps people weren't very knowledgable about this in the small village. They didn't fix him until a later age. DH is still denying that this could be the cause (I really hope I am wrong about this! Still crossing my fingers). The mother-in-law certainly isn't awared of this or was even told about the potential problem with this. I made this conclusion because she was asking us when we want to have a baby during the last visit. Sigh......

I am not sure if I am crazy. Do you all ladies read or try to find out more (googling) information on the internet than DH? DH thinks i read too much and worrying myself.

My DH has non obstructive azoo as well. Everything about him is completely normal...except for no sperm. We'll probably never know why.

I did a heap of reading, and he thought I was worrying myself. I found the info I learnt really useful once test results started coming in, though. bbhope I hope your DH will mention the undescended testes at his appointment; all of that kind of info is useful to the specialist but I know some men feel ashamed to mention it. Let him know that there are other men out there in this same situation and as hard as it is to talk about it and go through the tests, the doctors will do what they can to help you achieve your dreams.

    Congrats sweet - how exciting!

Ya, just realized that two souls is also doing the IVF this month. How is it going?

It seems a bit quiet here lately.

I can't find any information on the forum (but many scientific articles) about sertoli cell only problem. Does any of your hubby with sertoli cell problem that is caused by the undescended testicles? I am bit concern......I also don't find many people mention about undescended testicles on the forum either.

I posted on the perth forum: We wasted our time. The urologist doesn't want to see DH. The ultrasound is unremarkable (as far as the radiologist said) -- still no idea what the lump is. Urology clinic called back a month later and told us this. It was a bad judgement call because DH wanted to get the lump check first. You thought GP would know better that our suggestion to see the urologist rather than the FS was a bad idea. Now, DH has to go back and get a new referral and more waiting time. On the other hand, I have made up my mind who to see and the appointment is set for mid July. We could have gotten in earlier but I am being sent off on a long business trip again! To be honest, DH is still sad about the whole thing. I am ahead of him about the information. He is just too afraid to read anything that might destroy his hope. I keep telling myself to have faith.......
