We m/c our first baby about 10 months ago and now have finally gotten our BFP just last week and had a BT this week to confirm it. I have been so excited and really feeling great until today, I just got this sudden feeling of fear, what if it happens again. Its still very early and I don't think I will feel a bit more settled until I get past where I got up to last time. We are keeping it quiet and only some family know so there is no one IRL that knows what I am feeling.

    Hi Cherished,
I know exactly how you feel. I had a miscarriage in January at 6 weeks 5 days, and have just passed that point in the last few days with my current PG. I am terrified that it is going to happen again, even though I saw the heartbeat a week ago. I keep telling myself that everything will be fine this time, but it's so hard not to go crazy and start panicking when something doesn't feel right.
Does anyone else feel the same?

AJGirl - Yes it was intense, I have a low pain thresh hold and it got to the point where I lost all control of my body, it was basically primal. I still get a bit upset thinking about it as it was not what I envisioned my birth being like! Luckily Alex is very cute and its helping me move on. Have told DF when we have another baby if there is no epidural available in town we are going to Perth!

These links will *hopefully* take you to pics of our little man, hes having a sleep in his bassinet now with the curtains open as he has slight jaundice. Must go change my ticker now!

so sorry to hear that cherished, i found the second time really hard, even though it was alot earlier, i had gotten pregnant again quite quickly and it was just such a blow, when i hadn't really fully dealt with the first one. So after a six month break and a few months of naturopathic treatment i am now in my third pregnancy and feeling alot more confident than last time.

I think giving myself time to greive and doing some positive things to improve my chances has helped alot, make sure you look after yourself and give yourself the time and care to go into your next pregnancy happy and positive
